  1. Yasaka Myth (New Collection?)

These blades are still good blades although they were not designed for the current balls. If I were Yasaka I would add a thicker Ma Lin Carbon and an affordable, made in Sweden, outer carbon Viscaria-style blade ;) Some specifications changed already: Ma Lin Extra Offensive was listed with a...
  2. Anyone notice Fan Zhendong using red rubber on forehand

Yes, FZD did use D09C but as mentioned before Dortmund neither uses Tibhar balls nor Tibhar tables. H3 likes ZeroT (supposedly this is just a relabeled DHS DJ40+) in almost all playing conditions :) H3 dislikes Nittaku Premium, Nexcel, and JTop especially in humid conditions (never played with...
  3. The lightest hybrid type rubber

Glayzer 09C, red, 2.1 mm, 99g and 100g including package, 74g and 75g uncut with protective foil on, 43g and 44g cut to standard Butterfly head size 157 mm x 150 mm, 88 mm at the handle. Can't remember how many Revolution No. 3 glue layers usually 2 + 2 or 3 + 2. Glued with some stretch and/or...
  4. Best Chinese sticky rubbers that don't need boosting

NR-8701 is a H3Neo OS with I would say at least DHS provincial quality. Mine felt a bit harder than 39°. Nittaku claims 42.5° Japanese scale. They usually add 10 to get ESN hardness which in turn would be around 39.5/40 Shore A. Never tried it unboosted. Definitely worth its price when bought...
  5. Best Chinese sticky rubbers that don't need boosting

What we (at least I) don't know is if the Nittaku H8-80 Power is the same as a normal, higher quality H8-80 37° or if it has a different(ly treated) sponge. NR-8788, H8-80 38 in a normal package https://www.nittaku.com/products/rubbers/post-72 NR-8789, H8-80 Power 37 in a different package...
  6. Best Chinese sticky rubbers that don't need boosting

Somewhat both :) Would be great if one of these B3 versions is soft enough to be played without boosting. Not an issue on FH (simply get a degree less than I would for H3) but on BH the softest version is 38 which feels/felt like 39 DHS.
  7. German league TTBL 2025-26

Different viewing angle FZD vs Dima
  8. Friendship 729 battle 3

I'm currently using 38° red on BH, two layers Seamoon 2 initially and one additional layer after regluing on different Viscaria-type blades (koto, something carbon, ayous, kiri). Works really well but I would prefer a slightly softer version. Maybe the new B3 versions are exactly that. Some...
  9. SpinSight users post your experience and reviews

I've linked the patent application before :) https://www.tabletennisdaily.com/forum/topics/ttd-team-spin-challenge-with-world-champion.38450/post-553251 or https://patents.google.com/patent/EP4121779B1/en It includes information about the dot distribution, dot sizes, number of dots, infrared...
  10. Best Chinese sticky rubbers that don't need boosting

"less adaption" not "zero adaption". It's still a Chinese rubber after all and B3 prefers a thicker contact/more hitting through than H3 to get the best out of it ;) You could also try different balls 1) 1)...
  11. Best Chinese sticky rubbers that don't need boosting

Yu Heyi as in Yu Heyi who won against Liang Jingkun? Didn't expect that any of these players use something different than H3BS on their FHs. Do they need to be aired like the normal B3s which stink for days/weeks if not? Do they feel like 38 DHS or more like 39 DHS like my red B3s that I...

  13. about knee surgeries

Arthroscopy might be necessary to actually see the damage. MRI and CT can miss some damages. Depending on the damage (getting a second opinion could be a good idea) I would also suggest getting surgery to prevent later problems like osteoarthritis.
  14. Hurricane Neo blue sponge provincial v national and 2.1 v 2.15

As DHS says: "In addition, in different periods, top-notch players such as Ma Long will have different requirements for the viscosity of the rubber or the hardness of the sponge, which requires fine-tuning. Therefore, there are slight differences in the national sets of different stars, and...
  15. Hurricane Neo blue sponge provincial v national and 2.1 v 2.15

See https://www.tabletennisdaily.com/forum/topics/dhs-fans-unite.28518/post-529310 for links to the source That was translated using Google Translate so maybe it is not 100% correct. In my area I would assume that they mean that the thickness can be nominal thickness ± 0.05 mm (which would...

  17. Is it possible? Blade question.

Loki Telson CNF Slower also with a quite soft, woody feeling and quite some flex: Loki Rxton 5 Pro Provincial. The Loki Rxton 7 Pro should feel similar but is thicker (supposedly thicker core). Xiom also had such a blade but they decided to stop producing it (plus a limited run a couple of...
  18. Does glue affect racket performance ? Strange problem…

You could try thinning the glue with a bit of tap water. That's what I ended up doing when I tried to use such thick glues instead of Revolution. Drying: Still sometimes air drying but usually hair dryer. Makes no difference for me. Rubbers: MX-P and other ESN rubbers usually shrink a bit...
  19. Need some advice on a new blade

Prott.vip also sells Yuan Jian blades: https://www.prott.vip/Product-List.aspx?producttype=96 Timo Boll ALC/Spirit is not the same as a Viscaria/FZD/ZJK ALC according to TTGearLab's data https://ttgearlab.com/2024/03/15/performance-indices-db-outer-fiber-blades/ As Sland said: if the LGY ALC...
  20. First time with H3N Rubber coming from d09c - How to boost and what to expect?

I usually decide if and how much I need to reboost when I reglue after a while (less training/matches more time between reboosts). Typically: one layer if the rubber is flat, two layers if the rubber has a reverse dome and the topsheet is still good enough. The other thing which usually holds is...
