Wow thats cool. I had no idea you were such a advanced player. There may be some other advanced players lurking around the forum
  2. Advice for my terrible receive

It's only 2 minutes, so maybe have a quick look if you have a free moment. I'd be curious to hear your thoughts.
  3. Tenergy 05 = most overrated equipment item?

I also feel D05 has a more stable feeling to it.

It must be a communist plot to confuse me
  5. The Pro's Equipment - Discussion!

is Harimoto using D05 or D09c on fh now? https://yarilog.com/harimoto-tomokazu/ reports him as D05. https://www.paddlepalace.com/Tomokazu-Harimoto-JPN-Champion-Pro-Special-BUTTERFLY/productinfo/ZZCSBHIA/ shows he is using D09c.
  6. Advice for my terrible receive

Ha, a lot of people mentioned my shoes. I was just walking around the gym watching other matches and not planning on playing. Victor just suddenly called at me to hit with him a bit, so I didn't have time to put on my game shoes.
  7. Advice for my terrible receive

Thanks for the detail. You're right I think I take a huge lunging step into a shot rather than tiny steps to get into position.
  8. Advice for my terrible receive

Just a few points from warm up game, but its clear as day how bad I am at receiving good serves. I feel like if i could improve this one single area, I would make a huge leap actually. I can't read the spin, I choose the wrong receive, I whiff the ball, Im just not confident in this area...
  9. Victas Triple Double Extra as an Neo Hurricane 3 Alternative

I play with it a lot. If you are using H3 unboosted, you may find TDE to be easier to activate. It feels slightly boosted compared to H3. But at the same time, it is harder than H3, and I feel it's a pretty advanced rubber. You need strong and clean technique to use this rubber.
  10. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

Looks pretty cool. I would keep it and try it out
  11. Does anybody else mentally fall apart against pure pushers or weird styles?

So if i loop to his LP and he chops it back, I find I only have 2 options: loop or push. If i push, then he uses the LP to do a kind of side-swipe or punch shot. He aims at my 2 corners and it makes for a deadish awkward ball but fast ball. This fast, dead ball is hard to deal with. If i...
  12. Does anybody else mentally fall apart against pure pushers or weird styles?

There is a long pip pusher 70 year old man that I practice with. We never play games, but i already know it'll be ugly just from our rallies. His push and block is too good and he gets my loops back. If i give him a neutral shot, he just punches with his pips to my corners and Im dead.
  13. Battle of the best FH rubbers

I personally think boosted H3N Orange sponge is really powerful, spinny, and reliable. I like it more than blue sponge. Sanwei Target Pro 3, Double Fish Volant Phoenix are really cheap and good alternatives too. D09c and DG are good too, but they don't quite give the same dwell time.

  15. Here at SD paddle palace open

Sounds reasonable to me. What's the problem then? Even 2 levels above, I don't see him beating me or equal level opponent 11-1 or 11-3 often. I don't see anybody winning 80 or 90% of match points. I think even winning 60% is utterly dominant.

Maybe a statistician can tell us the mathematical answer. If you are winning 60% of points, what is the mathematical probability that you would lose a best of 7 match? My guess it would be less than 5%? Maybe even less than 1%? I can also post this question in the mathematics reddit so some...

I dunno. I never counted my total career points so you could be right. I haven't seen your 2450 and 2100 player play each other. You might be right. I'd be willing to bet your 2450 player can't beat a 2100 player 11-1 at will. That's just my personal feeling, you maybe have seen him do this...

Another thing is I usually feel my shot quality is at the same level of a 2000-2100 player. I feel where I fall is generally around game-intelligence. I often times don't understand many of the nuances of how to read spin, or how to receive serve, or how to handle tricky balls or tricky lengths.
