  1. Is there a spinny short pimple?

I agree about Lula, I don't just loop on backhand though. I just think some grip for the initial shot just give me a bit more control then smash next shot. Or a short pimple that could dig a chopped serve back well then look to get in if they dont hit a great shot. It is almost impossible to...
  2. Is there a spinny short pimple?

its just my stoke always still goes up a little unless the ball is short. I just think a grippier short pimple would still allow me to play up a little and then I can work on the stroke and as it improves maybe go back to spectol, spectol are rubbish for digs and pushes, where as some of the...
  3. Is there a spinny short pimple?

Patrick Hrildica like s the SP AX like Mima Ito, and I trust his reviews and she is my favourite player. But I am 49 and 13 stone I don't move like Mima!
  4. Is there a spinny short pimple?

I am a serial EJ, I expect results first time I use them.
  5. Is there a spinny short pimple?

Patrick said it was quite hard to control on his review on TT11, and I very much trust his review as I am like a poor man's version of him!! I am tempted by Nittaku SP AX in 1.8mm
  6. Is there a spinny short pimple?

but can you loop on bh with them at least a little bit
  7. Is there a spinny short pimple?

Is there a spinny short pimple that would grip enough to do bh loops, but still have some short pimpleness? Spectol Red is not the answer as I use it now and I miss my bh loop too much.
  8. Godfather of short pimples!! Avalox P700

I thought IF ALC might be a bit easier to use with the short pimples, a bit more versatile. Maybe this is wrong!!
  9. Godfather of short pimples!! Avalox P700

The Hurricane on the Yinhe M202 is fantastic on my fh. The Spectol Red on my bh is good but its so hit and miss. I either hit amazing shots or miss by a mile. I find touch shots etc quite tricky with it. I am pretty sure I should stick with the set up I have regarding fh and blade, but maybe...
  10. Tibhar Force Pro Blue (Why are Stiff blades better for short pimples?)

If I did try mid pimples, what would people recommend, what might suit my not quite right almost reversed shot, presumably soft mid pimples
  11. Godfather of short pimples!! Avalox P700

a friend has lent me one, if its too soft it wont work, my yinhe M202 feels quite hard I think.
  12. Godfather of short pimples!! Avalox P700

So I tried the P700 tonight and in practice it was amazing in block, I blocked everything, smashes and topspins and I though it was awesome. Then had a few practice matches and it was too flexy and too slow compared to my yinhe M202. I could not loop hard enough on fh and I could not attck...
  13. Godfather of short pimples!! Avalox P700

Thats good Daniius!! What about looping on fh with Hurricane? Any Good??
  14. Godfather of short pimples!! Avalox P700

I will try this and if I don't like it, I will stick the Yinhe M202.
  15. Godfather of short pimples!! Avalox P700

So I finally found a second hand P700 at a reasonable price to try with short pimples (Spectol Red) on backhand and Nittaku Hurricane 3 Turbo (nutter) Blue on forehand. I have been playing very well and getting good results recently so it makes sense to mess around with blades again. DOH!!!
  16. Tibhar Force Pro Blue (Why are Stiff blades better for short pimples?)

I reckon the Yinhe is pretty stiff and hard, but it seems to be ok on big loops on fh! I should probably persist with it, but I might as well try the Avalox P700, everyone talks about them as the holy grail for pimples.
  17. Tibhar Force Pro Blue (Why are Stiff blades better for short pimples?)

Can't handle the Black Edition, I am using the Yinhe M202 (Carbon Inner Limba outers) at the moment but it has no feeling. I have no middle game with it!! If I don't like it it will sell easily though!!
  18. Tibhar Force Pro Blue (Why are Stiff blades better for short pimples?)

This is a fantastic thread!! Forgotten how good some of the advice in here was! Today I bought an Avalox P700 cheap on an auction site.
  19. The GOAT of timeout calls!

And now for the conclusion!! Tinykin may be right. Xylit the body language of my opponent who clearly wanted to do a fast serve and get back in to it.
  20. The GOAT of timeout calls!

Surely this is the best timeout ever in the History of table tennis!! Did not even see his reaction until I got home and watched the video!! In table tennis terms we are arch enemies, he is higher ranked than me!! I have watched this video 20 or 30 time and I still laugh every time I see it!!
