  1. New Stiga Mantra Pro

What blade and rubbers are you currently using Tony?
  2. New Stiga Mantra Pro

It feels pretty good on the BH, not too fast, but just a tad too hard for me on that wing but I could see it working well for a lot of people who like a 47-50 deg rubber on the BH. The T05 FX does feel faster and bouncier on the BH which I like coupled with its softness and very light weight...
  3. New Stiga Mantra Pro

I'm sure they feel quite different beyond the stats. The stats also seem different enough to the DNA's. And hey, confusion and an abundance of choice is what leads people to consume more. Butterfly's series are definitely very comprehensive.
  4. New Stiga Mantra Pro

Different brands, different techs, more choices! Would be pretty boring if all brands made everything the same..
  5. New Stiga Mantra Pro

That would be great, and deplete my wallet...
  6. New Stiga Mantra Pro

Yea me too, it'll be interesting to see how these new Daikis compare to their best rubber yet: Z2. Z2 is extremely responsive indeed, but don't forget how responsive Tenergys are!
  7. DHS W968 review

Are you now using T05 on the FH of your W968?
  8. DHS W968 review

Mine's on the plane too as of 1/20! A friend from France got excited too and just ordered a W968 Prov!
  9. New Stiga Mantra Pro

I had heard 43 deg before for the M, but it's 47 after all, it's too bad they're not releasing an S then. I'll consider it for FH but I'll likely just stick with Z2.
  10. New Stiga Mantra Pro

The Mantra Pro M is listed at 43 deg, the Tenergy 05 FX is also 43 deg.
  11. New Stiga Mantra Pro

I use the Nittaku Hammond Z2 (Made in Japan by Daiki just like the Stiga Mantras), it's a 50 deg fast rubber similar to regular Tenergy 05 but feels more controllable.
  12. New Stiga Mantra Pro

It looks to me like it could be a Butterfly-style sponge like Daiki's Z2.
  13. New Stiga Mantra Pro

Yea, I'm also hoping Mantra Pro in M is good. I could always use a cheaper alternative to T05 FX but haven't found anything I like nearly as much for my backhand. I love Z2 for Daiki on my forehand, so if the M is that level of quality, it could be very promising!
  14. New Stiga Mantra Pro

The new Mantra Pro series came out only on Stiga's website so far on January 10th. M (47), H (50) and XH (53). Made in Japan, sound promising since the recent Nittaku Hammond Z2 from the same Daiki factory is excellent! I hope that other retailers like TT11 will carry them soon.
  15. Technique advice for me

    Excellent advice!
  16. Technique advice for me

This is what I had mentioned also, great suggestion on adjusting the setting to a slower but spinnier ball. Carl's screenshots also highlight that your elbow should stay pointing down especially on the FH.
  17. DHS W968 review

Can't wait for mine to get here! I will try it with T05 FX on the BH, and will try my new fav Z2, D05 and a boosted Dingtian on the FH since I happen to have those.
  18. What is rakza 7 soft comparable to?

It's still similar to FX-P though I find R7 Soft to be grippier and better quality though a bit slower.
  19. DHS Hurricane G where did you go ????

I quite liked the color of the handle too! It has one side koto and one side limba, correct?
  20. DHS W968 review

PS: Which version of the Young Shine Dingtian do you have? Blue sponge? 39, 40, 41 degrees?
