  1. Europe Smash Sweden August 14-24 2025

Choking is sometimes overused for a loss.
  2. Blade

If you keep hitting into the net, it is more likely due to technique problem than equipment. Post a video here and a lot of people can help. For most amateurs, the problem for equipment is usually too fast not too slow.
  3. WTT Champions Japan 2025 - 7-11 Aug 2025

I think it mainly due the fact that he can read WCQ's serve better. WCQ did not use hooked serves for the match that much.
  4. WTT Champions Japan 2025 - 7-11 Aug 2025

Unforced errors are usually for amateurs with poor fundamentals, not for professionals. You can talk to a USATT 1500 player about unforced errors, but for a world No 1? Haha
  5. WTT Champions Japan 2025 - 7-11 Aug 2025

No coaching should be allowed for clothes change and medical timeout. I think ITTF should write it in its law. HT mentioned that he took the medical timeout because WCQ took the clothes change after game 5. Medical timeout is actually written in the law book, and clothes change is not.
  6. WTT Champions Japan 2025 - 7-11 Aug 2025

Pretty impressed by HT’s game today. He adopted a lot of ZYL style, spin, short stroke, good placement, variations of strike power . Well prepared. Breaking bad HT= Winning HT
  7. WTT Champions Japan 2025 - 7-11 Aug 2025

It’s obvious that HT changed paces to cause WCQ’s errors.
  8. WTT Champions Japan 2025 - 7-11 Aug 2025

Man, these two are playing like twins.
  9. WTT Champions Japan 2025 - 7-11 Aug 2025

Kanak stood little chance when HT plays like a bigger Kanak. Harimoto's short game is better than Kanak's and that alone almost determines the match result.
  10. WTT Champions Japan 2025 - 7-11 Aug 2025

Kanak Jha beat Dang Qiu quite convincingly in the short game, but Harimoto's short game is pretty good as well. Kanak Jha was well underestimated from the beginning of the tournament. Let's see whether Harimoto prepares well for their match.
  11. WTT Star Contender Foz do Iguaçu 2025 7/30-8/3

Will Honoka and Aida get a wild card for XD for Sweden Smash? Maybe
  12. WTT Star Contender Foz do Iguaçu 2025 7/30-8/3

The lighting + green floor is so bad for viewing
  13. WTT Star Contender Foz do Iguaçu 2025 7/30-8/3

I think Honoka did not do too badly after the expedite rule applied. It was bad to go from 4:1 to 4:6(?) without adjusting. Honoka did punch on the backhand once and it went into the net and it probably stopped her to attack more. I think she should have pivoted to play more forehand loop as...
  14. WTT Star Contender Foz do Iguaçu 2025 7/30-8/3

Honoka should have attacked more after Miwa's time out at 1:4 in the 5th game. The only strategy that Miwa could change was to slow down and push more. Honoka seemed to follow that change without changing her own strategy. If she attacked more, I think Miwa should have been more nervous. And...
  15. United States Smash 2025, Las Vegas, 7/3-13

ML has given an example of beating WCQ 4:0, and I think a lot of people have learned from that match except Harimoto. Maybe Harimot is anti-ML, just can't learn or do what ML did.
  16. United States Smash 2025, Las Vegas, 7/3-13

I doubt whether Harimoto ever analyzed his games against WCQ. He played just clueless. Maybe his style is of disadvantage to playing against WCQ, but it looks like he did not even try. Never disappointed, a disappointed HT vs WCQ match. I would rather watch my two 1700 friends play.
  17. United States Smash 2025, Las Vegas, 7/3-13

LYJ always looks calm (passive) from the outside. Harimoto has a good fighting spirit for this tournament. See whether he can keep doing it against WCQ
  18. United States Smash 2025, Las Vegas, 7/3-13

See whether Harimoto will challenge WCQ's serves tonight. I think he should try it maybe in the first game if he feels a serve illegal.
  19. United States Smash 2025, Las Vegas, 7/3-13

Ito having best performance so far is the fact. I also wanted to see Hashimoto win, but it is just childish (/naïve) to think that Ito should let Hashimoto win.
  20. United States Smash 2025, Las Vegas, 7/3-13

Why Someone can only challenge opponent's serve on one aspect, angle, hidden, or height? It just makes no sense. If a TTR review shows a serve is illegal, then either one would count.
