  1. Generating spin on serves

Thanks Der_Echte - I think thinking about it logically, it has to be down to biomechanics and I imagine your 3rd point is true with me - I'm stuck in a rut of an inefficient stroke, that hasn't changed over the years. As much as I appreciate some of the replies - its not about levels or...
  2. Generating spin on serves

Thanks all. Lots of thinks to try. Interesting about the squeezing as you would think having a loose grip to keep the wrist lose would be the way. watching that video of Brett Clarke the flex and whip of this wrist is mad
  3. Generating spin on serves

So I think a key problem I have, that I need to work on is generating heavier spin on serves and the ability to serve to get the best shot back to follow up on. I can serve short - but it tends to have little spin, longer serves have spin but in comparison to how well I can spin up, or loop a...
  4. People who switched from carbon back to wood, how’s it going?

Ive been playing a few sessions with my wood blade and I've really enjoyed it. The session last night was mainly drills and I really enjoyed it and felt noticeably more controlled and consistent than previously. Gameplay was a different story but thats more about me taking form from practice...
  5. Penhold rubbers

Watching Xu Xin for three mins makes it a better Monday :-) that shot at 1:40 🔥
  6. H3 Change

Yeah It’s a shame he never posts despite you calling him out. Would be genuinely interested to hear his thoughts.
  7. Least Spin Sensitive Inverted Rubber 45-55 deg

Is your take similar to ZFT? Not very spin sensitive and stable (i take that as linear?)?
  8. Limba, Hinoki, Ayous or Koto?

That website is crazy!!!! In a good way 😁
  9. Backhand improvement, and advice

I think for people to give advice on what you struggling a bit more information or video is needed? Is the ball going low into the net? Too high and dropping down? Flying off the table? or a mixture of all these? I do agree though that the key 'loop' of the BH is openups then after that it...
  10. A happy accident – do i go for a wood blade?

I have looked at that before but haven’t heard that much about it and know one I know has tried it. Might be worth a go if I can get it cheap enough.
  11. A happy accident – do i go for a wood blade?

Cool thanks - I might go back to H3Neo rather than D09c just because of cost though i prefer it.
  12. A happy accident – do i go for a wood blade?

yeah good point - best not to change to much
  13. A happy accident – do i go for a wood blade?

That is my thinking, and a Korbel sounds like a good idea - faster than the Primorac I have but slower than the TBS. With D09c(or maybe Abiss?) on FH and Roundell on BH.
  14. A happy accident – do i go for a wood blade?

So last night saw the last league match of the season and I was asked to step in for the first team in the Premier division, I have filled in a few times this season - and even though haven't won any games in that league, have been competitive and great learning experience. It was short notice I...
  15. nittaku H3

Do you boost it. Or just the H3 on the FH?
  16. nittaku H3

Yeah agree - think it is a great fh rubber. But not worth the extra cost. You trying just the regular Nittaku H3? I’ve always liked the idea of this range. Hurricane with better quality control.
  17. nittaku H3

I have a sheet that still has a bit of life but I don't think it will be on my main blade. Mainly as im going to try a different style over the summer. I like it on FH - its got great spin and touch for the short game, I couldn't get on with it on backhand as needs a full swing and I just don't...
  18. nittaku H3

Wrighty - have you tried Battle2? I went back to it last night and felt great. It might be because my sheet of D09c is finished but i forgot how nice it is, faster than H3 but still has that sticky feel
