  1. New Table Tennis Equipment 2019

Blades: Tibhar Fortino Pro Tibhar Fortino Force Tibhar Fortino Performance
  2. Hurricane long 5x

Great point - love it. I think there's definitely some valuable things you can take away from pro equipment, but too much is read into the specifics. I much prefer general trends, like yours above.
  3. Hurricane long 5x

Probably, although is it even possible to know for sure anyway? And if true, that doesn't mean the B2X is a bad blade, etc etc blah blah. I like the gossip around pros' setups, but it doesn't mean much to me when picking equipment for myself.
  4. Hurricane long 5x

There's also a Fang Bo B2X - same kind of thing, thicker core. But much cheaper!
  5. Table Tennis England vs TT365 Thread

Totally agree - 365 is a great site and incredibly useful resource. Developing a like-for-like replacement in the timeframe TTE are talking about is highly dubious, and TTE's official statements look very bad-faith to me. Misleading almost to the point of outright lies. That said, I don't...

Also: VJC>07 Sticky Extra Interestingly, the VJ series looks to be made in Japan, but the VJC is a chinese topsheet on a japanese sponge. https://www.victas.com/ja_jp/products/rubber/hienergybacksoft/07_series
  8. Marvellous 12 2019

It's really tough to compare in this way. This is an internal event with players who have probably played against each other for a disproportionate number of hours. It's a different kind of challenge when you compare to playing internationally against players with very different styles...
  9. What happened with TT11?

On my work machine we use Sophos, and it flagged TT11 as being infected with Troj/Maghack-A I still can't get on there now, but that's probably because they're blacklisted at my end now?

  11. New Butterfly rubber "Dignics 05" 2019

The irony is that Butterfly themselves are trying to do this themselves. They have all the reaction/vibration stuff for blades, and they give Sriver as the baseline for a rating of 10 for rubbers now. The stores have stuck to their speed/control nonsense though, unfortunately. Hopefully...

  15. New Equipment 2018

This ebay seller translates them as the colour code: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nittaku-Table-Tennis-Rubber-NR-8721-Kyoto-Leopard-P3-T-Orange-back-soft-Black/273677510488?epid=14028544646&hash=item3fb8736758:g:IOoAAOSwV1Vb-Pal Which seems pretty redundant when they're all the same?
  16. Xiom ice cream blade

My review of the AZX is up in the equipment centre. If anyone in the UK (or a well-known member in the EU) wants to have a go, send me a PM!
