I tried rakza 7 soft today mostly on BH. It has a nice arc and is easy to loop with mid distance. But it lacks that shotgun authoritative punch when you hit through the ball (its soft no duh). I guess dignics, mxp, and g1 have more of that authoritative feeling that I like. ​​​​​

Why are you suspicious of that?

I don't like how vertical my backhand block is. It looks strange to me. But that's just naturally how my hand goes...

Feel free to comment to watch for casual viewing. Here's a few games against a college player. He said his rating in college is 1580, so I enjoy the rhythm and pattern of our games. I think I tend to win most of the backhand-backhand rallies, and his style sort of plays into my comfort zone.

It makes a huge huge difference between boosting and not boosting. H3 without boosting may feel very slow and dead. Also the ball has a tendency to stick to the surface and not rebound off the rubber. With booster, the rubber will feel like a more "normal" rebound. If you only plan on...

i just found this photo. It reminds me of the tenery throw angle photo. Does rakza X, 7, 9 correspond to Tenergy 05, 64, 80? Is that meant to be the concept of the Rakza series? Or is the photo just a coincidence. Does it mean that for speed Rakza 9 > 7 > X ?

Ok that makes sense conceptually. So how does it show up in the C series specifically? What makes a rubber good for counterlooping? Grippier surface? More tensored sponge? Stiffer topsheet?

Well indeed, the other thread with pros photos show that many top players are now choosing 09c for backhand. There is a clear trend. if they like it for bh, im just wondering if they wouldnt also like the 09c sponge on the d05 topsheet. There is a tradeoff for the harder faster sponge. But...

But what properties of C make it good for counterspin specifically? I imagine that a rubber such as Dignics 64 is good for counterspin, because it may be less sensitive to incoming spin. You can block hard and fast and counter your opponent's loop.

What is the idea of the C series? I guess R is for rotation and spin, V is for speed and velocity. C is for counter attack? How do you make a rubber specific to counter attack?
