  1. 09c sponge better than Dignics 05 sponge?

Well the D05 was on a LGY ALC, so it was a little bit flexy. The D80 was on some black carbon Gambler blade. So that also may have contributed to the more solid, punishing feeling.
  2. Pictures of players‘ equipment at the WTT Budapest

Nice observation about the boosting. Is there a reason that Andro is seemingly the ESN rubber of choice for these pro players? Is Andro considered superior to the ESN offerings from other companies?
  3. Pictures of players‘ equipment at the WTT Budapest

Interesting, why are players choosing Rasanter R53 over R47? I felt like the buzz has always been around 47 Also very interesting to see many players choosing D09c as a backhand rubber.
  4. 09c sponge better than Dignics 05 sponge?

Today I had the chance to hit with a guy's D80. Actually I found that it is a little in between the 05 and the 09c. It had a slightly stiffer and more solid feel than the 05, slightly more powerful and authoritative feeling.
  5. 09c sponge better than Dignics 05 sponge?

Conceptually this makes sense to me. D05 is easier to access its speed. D09c has more pop on high level shots, but it harder to access. But it still brings me to the original question. For high level players (those who can easily access to speed of the stiffer sponge), for top pros, wouldn't...
  6. 09c sponge better than Dignics 05 sponge?

I guess my way of testing was that I was standing a couple steps behind the table, and hitting hard backhand drives. I was hitting justabout as hard as I can. Definitely 09c felt faster, crisper, snappier, and authoritative. D05 felt mushier. As you said, its probably faster on lighter shots...
  7. 09c sponge better than Dignics 05 sponge?

It's possible the blade is what made the difference to me. The worn out D09c was on a ZJK zlc blade (not Super zlc). The Dig05 was on LGY ALC blade. I believe the ZJK blade is slightly faster, but still that really didn't feel like the reason for the difference. It really felt like the...
  8. 09c sponge better than Dignics 05 sponge?

Today I tried hitting with some mates' rackets. One was a D09c that was some months old and all the tackiness had worn out. Another was a brand new Dignics 05. Based on reviews, I was expecting that 05 would be faster. Both were excellent, fast and responsive. Compared to my normal rubbers...
  9. Stiga DNA Dragon Grip

Why did you choose DNA Dragon Grip over other tacky rubbers such as D09c, Rakza Z, BlueGrip, and Dynarz ZGR? Have you tried playing with Chinese tacky rubbers like Jupiter 3, Apollo 5, 729 Bloom, Battle 2?

Btw what country is this in? Your flag says South Africa, and I see a lot of young Asian kids playing.
  11. Videos from Today

Very cool. Why is doing this type of multiball training better than just rallying with the kid and hitting those 1-2 FH drills?
  12. Victas ventus extra suitable for modern defender

I was under the impression that most modern defenders use tacky rubber on forehand side. Why don't you try use tacky rubber, like Jupiter 3 or Rakza Z.
  13. Favorite rubbers based on sponge color?

Well it's nice, but I think the green sponge on black topsheet looks very cool. Also Dynarz and Ventus have some cool looking pink and purple sponges.
  14. Loop technique of dense sponge vs porous sponge

After testing various rubbers, I notice that the loop stroke is demanded to be different for dense sponge vs porous sponge. I typically play with dense sponge, so that is basically my default. For Dense sponge, I find that loop is best with a slightly more closed racket, and more brushing...
  15. Fan Zhendong blade series!!

So I wonder why they choose to make so many blades named for TB, but LYJ and LGY only get 1.
  16. Fan Zhendong blade series!!

Haven't seen any top player switch to SALC yet, but I think there has been a trend of top players switching to inner ALC
  17. Which ESN rubbers belong to which generation?

Could somebody provide a simple overview of which ESN rubbers belong to which generation of ESN rubbers? I'm vaguely familiar with the common ESN names Fastarc, Rakza, Evolution, Gold Arc, Rasanter, Rhyzm, Bluestorm, etc. But I'm not really sure which rubbers are considered current, and which...
  18. Favorite rubbers based on sponge color?

Do you have specific rubbers you are referring to?
  19. Favorite rubbers based on sponge color?

I can't explain why, but I am really drawn to the rubbers with unique or slick looking sponge colors. What are some of your favorite sponge colors and rubbers based on sponge colors? I've always thought that the lime green color of Rasanter is really awesome. And I think the bright, luxurious...

Releasing 5 new blades branded after the world #1 player, all 5 blades based on existing designers, I just imagine the C-suite high fiving each other at the conference table.
