They do not really protect your blade unless they are thick but still does prevent damage from bumps. Also, they make your paddle head heavy. Those 2 things maybe you can make improvements

The azxi is a fast blade especially with its alc side.

You can just pkace rubber grip in the handle to dampen vibration.

Control is better for azxi due to inner composite. They feel different though.

They are not small. Check the dimensions that i posted and see if they are small for you. I do not have the dimensions for the ST handles.

yes they do feel like it except that the neck or wing part is different and smaller like the original Novus.

Hmm I have not asked the meaning of the "T" symbol but I will. I will post my review of the Tau II this week. Initially, I like it! It seems a tad slower than Vega China but the spin is way much more than Hurricane 3. It does not have so much tackiness as Vega China or H3.

I am assuming they have hollow handles. The wood used now seem softer and maybe that is the reason they are lighter too.

I can definitely tell you that the ALC in the ice cream blades are faster than their ZLC counterparts. They were designed that way by Xiom.
