  1. Butterfly Tenergy 19

I wasn't mad at your post, just wanted to see what you meant by it, sarcastic or not. And I totally agree with your post above! :)
  2. Butterfly Tenergy 19

Hi brokenball, Seems to me that most Buttterfly rubbers get it right by a lot of players, pros and amateurs alike, no? What about Butterfly rubbers do you not like and what are some rubbers that get it right according to you?
  3. Butterfly Tenergy 19

I wouldn't call it a downgrade. It's a different offering: an improved Tenergy keeping the standard medium hard sponge of the regular Tenergy series. For those who don't want the hardness of Dignics and prefer a more lively rubber. Personally, Dignics is too hard for me and I find it hard to...
  4. Rubbers for beginner Chinese vs European

If you want to play the Chinese style, you're going to have to dive into it and use something like H3 on your FH at one point or another. It's not going to be "friendly" per say, but at least it has good control and it makes you work to develop a good FH stroke instead of a tensor or spring...
  5. Rubbers for beginner Chinese vs European

I think the Stiga Allround Classic with a Chinese tacky rubber on the FH and Euro rubber on the BH is a good choice. I would suggest DHS Hurricane 3 Neo on the FH and Xiom Vega Intro on the BH if that fits your budget. tabletennis11.com has some good prices and discounts + fast DHL shipping...
  6. New Equipment 2021

The Harimoto IFALC handle is thicker, though not quite the shape of the Viscaria. I prefer the Viscaria shape too, especially the curved top of the neck.
  7. New Equipment 2021

Exactly. Plus an hybrid rubber will never be anything quite like a Chinese rubber. And you can't beat the price of a commercial H3, not that I'm boosting... yet.
  8. New Equipment 2021

Thank you! From the graphic, it looks like MX-D will be a mix of the best characteristics from MX-P and MX-S, like an upgrade of both. Kinda like T19 is an upgraded/improved Tenergy, more dynamic. Edit: Now that I'm looking at the picture again, I see MX-D is 51.5 degrees, so I think it's...
  9. Butterfly Tenergy 19

Butterfly sponsored Rika Suzuki is the first player announced to be using T19 (BH). https://www.butterfly.co.jp/players/detail/suzuki-rika.html
  10. New Equipment 2021

Ooh! Do you have a link to the info, details of the rubber, pic of the rubber/packaging?
  11. Nittaku Factive

Nittaku Factive is a good rubber for intermediate players and even some beginners. It's engaging enough in terms of spin, speed and throw, not too much not to little, has very good control, is not spin sensitive and is very good for blocking. It's similar to Butterfly Rozena and Xiom Vega Japan.
  12. Butterfly Tenergy 19

They are a business so they need to keep rolling, nothing wrong with them giving their customers another option. I do hope that T19 will be priced like all other Tenergys as it seems it will be, and not like Dignics which is too too steep. This rubber will be different enough to T05 and...
  13. Butterfly Tenergy 19

More like a D05 FX since it's softer, or an upgraded T05 if you will.
  14. Butterfly Tenergy 19

Yea very likely, perhaps a T19 FX version too, though that's more doubtful.
  15. Butterfly Tenergy 19

Really like the fact that they are releasing it in 1.7mm as well as 1.9 and 2.1mm. Unlike the Dignics series and Tenergy 05 Hard which are only available in 1.9 and 2.1mm.
  16. New Equipment 2021

For info: Ovtcharov Innerforce ALC = thicker / faster Harimoto Innerforce ALC, same price Franziska Innerforce ZLC = Apolonia ZLC + Innerforce Innerforce Layer ZLC clone, same price as Apolonia Lin Yun-Ju Super ZLC = Zhang Jike SZLC clone, same price as Harimoto SZLC Maze Advance = Maze...
  17. Butterfly Tenergy 19

Butterfly says it is faster, spinnier and has more arc than Tenergy 05. A tad slower than Tenergy 80. T19 has the smallest pips in the highest density to compress the topsheet more and spring/release more actively. Same spring sponge as the rest of the Tenergy series. Standard 36 degree...
  18. 2021 All Japan National Championships

On top of that, he lost to the winner of the competition Oikawa who was in fine form throughout, beating most of the JNT on his way to the title.
  19. 2021 All Japan National Championships

Yea, Oikawa is an excellent player, had great results in the German league, perhaps he was a bit overlooked/underrated in Japan. I think it's been good for him to return to playing/training more in Japan with the T-League... Happy for him, he very much deserves this title.
