  1. Thinking about moving away from chinese rubbers.

Do you have any comments about TT? Because you just joined the forum and as yet have not had anything to say about the sport. What blade and rubber do you use? Is there a booster that you like?
  2. How to glue rubber to sponge

Andre, indeed you are correct, which marks you as one on the Proper Path. I must also beg pardon for my ancient Canaanite accent, which affected my spelling. Nevertheless the Rules were needed on esthetic grounds if nothing else.
  3. New "Rules" for Table Tennis

Supplement 5. Going to the towels every time the rules allow it is a Good Thing if you are actually sweaty. See Rules 1 and 54. Doing it simply because you think it looks "pro" is a crime against table tennis. See also Rules 2, 7, and 8, and 81 and 95 for that matter. The Gods do not like this.
  4. How to glue rubber to sponge

This comment is a blatant violation of Rule 88! Given what the OP asked at the top of the thread, and the curious non sequitar of this response I suspect also a violation of Rule 83 (You are not allowed to sniff the glue).
  5. Wrist or no wrist in forehand

From my observations over a long time, I think LordPippington's observation is often true. Not an absolute rule, definitely not for everybody with wristy forehands. But often. And if I remember correctly, your strokes are not particularly wristy, certainly not your forehand which is (I think)...
  6. Wrist or no wrist in forehand

table tennis is a constant struggle between getting a lot of racket speed on certain shots while keeping the number of 'degrees of freedom' under enough control that you can execute consistently and reliably. This is especially true at the wrist. A looser wrist (and a snap at the end) can help...
  7. New "Rules" for Table Tennis

Supplement 4. If you buy a blade on Aliexpress you should not ask people here if it is fake or not.
  8. Thinking about moving away from chinese rubbers.

Certainly with respect to the part about the OP being stripped naked.
  9. MX-P alternative without factory booster

    Tenergy 05
  10. Wrist or no wrist in forehand

I know for certain that if my wrist was a little looser I would generate more spin and power. That seems pretty clear from the times when I have videotaped myself. I have tried to change that at various times but it never felt comfortable. On the other hand, I am pretty steady and generally...
  11. Thinking about moving away from chinese rubbers.

I think there are many different things that cause people to make purchasing choices. The OP has found one that for him is a moral stand (might as well mention Tibet too). I can definitely respect it. And there is no point taking that stand if it's not made publicly. Personally I feel like I...
  12. New "Rules" for Table Tennis

Yes. Rule 6. That is correct Dr. Evil. It is easy to see why you are a doctor. It is of course also implied by Rule 88.
  13. New "Rules" for Table Tennis

    Ba'al approves of this.
  14. New "Rules" for Table Tennis

That could include languages "not of this world" in the H. P. Lovecraft sense, where merely hearing it would be enough to drive most men insane.
  15. Boosting without using water-based glue?

I would go ahead and do it the same way. It should be fine.
  16. Boosting without using water-based glue?

There is no point to it. The effect of speed glue is much greater than you can ever get with booster. This is probably true even with modern rubbers that are not designed for speed glue. bear in mind though that the effect of speed glue is short acting. you will need to remove the rubbers...
  17. New "Rules" for Table Tennis

Yes Ba'al is merely the messenger.
  18. How to jam a penholder

Good question. The crossover point for penholders (where you jam someone, in other words, where it is not clear to the opponent if they should use a forehand or a backhand) is more to the side than it is for most shakehanders. Where you jam a SH player for most orthodox (forehand dominant)...
  19. New "Rules" for Table Tennis

Also, as a former skateboard pro, you can probably wear the bandana with panache.
