Not dead but speed becomes less

With the speed of the newer rubbers right now, even slow blades are not that slow anymore. Also, you can have fast all wood blades that will not make you do much effort. Ever tried using Fextra, Xiom Feel S7, Mazunov, tibhar Force Pro Black, Tibhar SPW, DHS 08, Stiga Ebenholz 7, Stiga Nostalgic 7???

They are the best players because they are past the level of using just wood to have more control. Also, it is obvious i am talking about non pro players since the OP is not a pro.

A new rubber should not be boosted unless you really need extra speed that you can control.

If the blade is more controllable, you can actually do stronger swings resukting to faster strokes but still have accuracy.

Yes, Azalea blades especially tge off version is highly recommemded. Expect a big difference in spin for the DNA M.

Anybody tried both rubbers? I find the Vega Japan version much more appealing and has more spin and control. Vega Pro seem a bit faster and has a lower arc but the Vega Japan seem more appealing to me.

Xiom Vega SPO, Stiga Radical and Royal are all spinny but still less than inverted rubbers.

i tried boosting them all even an unreleased 60 degree Omega 7 Hyper. It did not soften much on 2 layers of falco. it did became faster. tried boosting O7 asia (52.5), O7 Tour (54 degrees)`, they need at least 3 layers to have the effect with falco. with seamoon, probably 3 layers are enough.

also, textreme by a long shot has a feeling near to zylon and not alc.

i cannot say that even the H version is at the level of tenergy 05's spin but other areas such as handling and speed are near. they have different feel.
