  1. STIGA Energy Wood V2 ? (vs Nittaku Acoustic wood)

The fact that the rubbers are brand new will give them more kick, speed, grip. Rolling them a bit too much would make them more tensioned yes, you really want to lay them flat and not stretch them, they're already tensioned to the max by the manufacturer and you don't want to affect the...
  2. Violin Alternatives?

The Artic Wood is a lot faster than a Violin. Allround Evolution and Azalea ALL are more in the Violin's speed class.
  3. Violin Alternatives?

I think this is actually on point regarding the Violin.
  4. Advise needed for new setup.

The direct step up in blade would be a Stiga Allround Evolution or Azalea ALL and to keep the Rakza 7 Soft at the thickness you're currently using. Or to stay with your Allround Classic and go up in thickness on the Rakza 7 Soft. Yogi's suggestion is good too.
  5. Tenergy 05fx on forehand

Totally agree, 05 FX is very blade dependent. Good on harder blades like Innerforce ALC, Viscaria, 7-plies... Not so much on softer blades like Primorac OFF-, Acoustic, Azalea, Virtuso OFF-... especially on the FH.
  6. Hurricane 3 MEGA THREAD

I was going to purchase from TTNPP, assuming his are legit. Where do you guys buy yours from?
  7. Hurricane 3 MEGA THREAD

I'm mostly interested in trying H3 on my FH, doubt I'll put in on my BH too, but I'll definitely flip and try it.
  8. STIGA Energy Wood V2 ? (vs Nittaku Acoustic wood)

Yes, Clipper is a very fast and stiff blade.
  9. STIGA Energy Wood V2 ? (vs Nittaku Acoustic wood)

    I think you're probably right.
  10. STIGA Energy Wood V2 ? (vs Nittaku Acoustic wood)

It's sometimes a fine between some ALL+ and OFF- blades. V2 is considered an ALL+ blade and is even classified as such by Stiga. Now if could be considered differently by a distributor. I don't know the BT555, but it seems like the V2 would indeed fit somewhere between it and the Allround...
  11. Hurricane 3 MEGA THREAD

Thanks Tango, I've actually tried Rakza Z, excellent rubber. If I were to try H3, it would be to try something not lively and therefore completely different.
  12. Hurricane 3 MEGA THREAD

Thanks Fabian, What about BH if I eventually went down that road?
  13. Hurricane 3 MEGA THREAD

Thanks splasher78 and tt_kidz for the very useful info! I've also been wanting to try Chinese rubber and in particular H3. Based on what you've both written, seems better to start with Provincial rather than Commercial for quality reasons, and in order to better transition from Euro/Japanese...
  14. Weight After Setup Has Been Assembled

That was the case for me with a blade I bought used from someone who had lacquered the handle, so sticky it was terrible to hold. I removed it with fine sandpaper and it's now back to normal.
  15. Weight After Setup Has Been Assembled

I live in a very humid area, so my blades tend to gain 1.5g after I receive them and weight them right away. Sweat can also add some weight to the handle.
  16. New Equipment (Rubbers & Blades) 2020

Odd design, but at least it's not a copy of Stiga's.
  17. My hand sweat to much

    Try using griptape.
