How is the hardness?

Today I played a 2000 guy who I have never beaten and have barely ever even taken a game off of. I tried my loop ever serve style and somehow won 3-0 with the Sanwei 75 inner. Now I definitely feel I am evolving

I agree too, it's very bouncy. In the OP I did clearly explain that the reason for wanting to boost it is only to expand the rubber and make it fit the blade better.

Has anybody else tested their Rxton 3 Pink/blue hardness either with a durometer or by comparing with other rubbers?

A few more comparisons: my rxton 3 pink is about the same hardness as my 41d Loki Arthur China, maybe just slightly softer when I try it on the durometer. I earlier said 53ESN, but maybe I wasn't pushing hard enough. Rxton 3 Pink is also harder than my boosted Dragon Grip by about 2 degrees.

I also took out the new Friendship Battle Max 40d to compare. The Battle Max is very similar hardness to the Rxton 3 Pro, so actually maybe the Rxton 3 Pro is somewhat on target. But the Rxton 3 Pink, listed at 39d, is harder than both the Battle Max and R3 Pro.

Since the Pink is so hard...I'm thinking if I would be better off just using it as a FH rubber and making an illegal setup (without black side).

Yes I think the blade itself is excellent and can accommodate many different rubbers. Personally I like to pair it with bouncy tacky hard rubbers, I feel like the strong dwell time creates a very powerful loop-kill shot.

Yes, they are domed the right way. They are slightly domed, curving towards the topsheet side. But that's probably because these sheets are relatively new fresh off the press. If you wait long enough, they will probably un-dome and curve slightly toward the sponge side.

I unpacked the R3 Pro. It also is slightly domed, but less than the R5 Pro. Pushing the sponge, it feels firmer than the R5 Pro, but less firm than the R3 Pink. If the R3 pink is around 53 ESN, the R5 Pro is more like 51 ESN

Once you try it, you will never doubt again. It is excellent for all shots, loop, drive, block. Has both dwell time and responsiveness and rebound

Ok, I just unpacked the Rxton 3 pink and the Rxton 5 Pro. I am very disappointed with the R5 Pro. The 3 pink is listed as 39d, and it feels firm. When I test it with the durometer, it seems like a legit 53d ESN. The R5 Pro feels much softer when I push on it. When I test the durometer on it...

Why do you think R3 would be too mushy? Both R3 and R1 have 39d sponges, so even with booster, it's not soft at all

Yeah, I was really curious about normal R3 and how well it boosts. You should definitely boost it and let us know how it performs. I know the GTX reacted really well to booster. The R3 has the same Negh1 cake sponge, so I don't see why it shouldn't respond well. So I'm really curious to hear...

Not yet, but hopefully next week. I don't have any empty blades right now. All my blades have other test rubbers on them, including boosted Rxton 1, so I need to retire some other rubber setups to clear up space.
