Is it me or are players chopping the ball more with the plastic ball? When a player puts heavy spin on the ball, the opponent blocks it back, sometimes coming short, and the attacker is forced to push/chop it.
I think because the plastic ball is coming a little shorter than the celluloid ball...

Yan An and Fan Zhendong play one another in the quarter final stages in 45 mins time. They are currently practising together in the training hall haha.
Xu Xin and Wang Hao are through to the quarter finals however what is interesting is each match players are competing well against the Chinese. Elsewhere Mengal and Fan Zhendong are level at 3 sets each.
Oh, I didnt realise Kristian had questions pending to answer. I was talking to him today about his upcoming match against Gionis. I will get him to respond to them after the Swedish Open :) Thanks for reminding me.
I agree @jeycop its good to see players taking the Chinese close it really increases the atmosphere here. Some great games going on now such as Koki Niwa vs Simon Gauzy, Fang Bo vs Seiya Kishikawa, Fan Zhendong vs Li Ahmet and plenty more!
