  1. Austrian Open 2019 [12-17 November 2019]

HH and HM on Table 2 now. HH takes first game 11-8.
  2. Austrian Open 2019 [12-17 November 2019]

Qian Tianyi... remember the name. This was not a case of LSW playing poorly. LSW was lightning quick as always, but QTY was able to hold her own and was pinpoint accurate with her placement. Great match.
  3. Austrian Open 2019 [12-17 November 2019]

Whoa! Is USA's Wu Yue coaching Yang Xiaoxin? I just saw Mima Ito slap hands with Wu Yue after the match!
  4. Austrian Open 2019 [12-17 November 2019]

Playing Yang Xiaoxin is so uncomfortable. Mima Ito is winning for sure, but it feels like slogging through a field of mud.
  5. Austrian Open 2019 [12-17 November 2019]

Liam deserved that match. Aggressive throughout. Always had a great backhand, but now with good consistency and power on the FH. Congrats!
  6. Austrian Open 2019 [12-17 November 2019]

Mizutani lives to fight another game. Side note: Congrats to the tournament organizers. Perfect lighting and ball/table contrast!
  7. Austrian Open 2019 [12-17 November 2019]

I'm a fan of CXT's game so I hate to say this, but I want WYD to win so she can make significant progress towards being a seeded player. She's just too good to keep going through qualifiers.
  8. Austrian Open 2019 [12-17 November 2019]

    Hina Hayata/Miu Hirano rematch!
  9. Austrian Open 2019 [12-17 November 2019]

Poor Miyu Nagasaki. Beats a CNT player (Sun Mingyang), is up 3-0 on Chen Szu-Yu, but loses the next 4 games. ZYL breathing a sigh of relief.
  10. Austrian Open 2019 [12-17 November 2019]

Miyu Kato destroyed in game 3 vs. Miyuu Kihara. Now down 0-3.
  11. Austrian Open 2019 [12-17 November 2019]

Hina Hayata vs. Liu Weishan on table 14. *Sigh*.
  12. Austrian Open 2019 [12-17 November 2019]

Good effort, but there will be no Cinderella story for Lily this tournament. GYT's shot quality was just too much for Lily. Lily can produce some amazing rallies, but GYT was in control of most of the points.
  13. Austrian Open 2019 [12-17 November 2019]

Miyu Nagasaki has a good chance to make it to the main draw. ZYL taking notice: SUN Mingyang CHN 8 6 10 9 0 WIN NAGASAKI Miyu JPN 11 11 12 11 4
  14. Austrian Open 2019 [12-17 November 2019]

And then Mima Ito vs. Zhu Yuling in the finals!
  15. World Team Cup 2019

Tough loss for Mima Ito, but I'm excited about her chances at the Olympics. She's going toe to toe against arguably China's best player and gave herself a good chance to win it. Gotta give the Terminator credit for fighting back from 7-10, but if chosen, imagine the tremendous pressure SYS...
  16. World Team Cup 2019

Mima Ito to Korea: Here, I'll spot you the first game and we'll go from there.
  17. World Team Cup 2019

Wow! Jeon Jihee impressive interview skills!
  18. Japan Women's Race to Tokyo 2020 Singles

In addition to the benefits you mentioned, there's another side benefit. You don't end up with a single individual getting a ridiculous number of ranking points from individual best of 5 matches. No disrespect to CIC intended, but at the 2018 World Team Championships, CIC gained 2250 points...
  19. World Team Cup 2019

We need a Franziska Tokyo 2020 Singles campaign.
  20. World Team Cup 2019

Darker? On the live stream it looks pretty light. Too light for my tastes. Was hoping for a higher contrast, but at least it's still visible (unlike the early rounds at the German Open).
