  1. Slovenia Open - ttGuru's stats

None of the same names were disqualified in both events, but it was sad to see Chen Hongtao from Canada get DSQ'd. He had just come through his group with tough games including a victory over Quentin Robinot. Kim Min Seok would have to be the biggest casualty this time round. He had beaten Mihai...
  2. Slovenia Open - ttGuru's stats

It's higher than any of the 17 events on last year's Pro Tour. The total DSQ's last year was only 23! However, last week in Hungary 9 players were disqualified! So it seems the bat testing crew are stirring things up this year prior to the Olympics.

  9. Who has the greatest 'kill-shot' in table tennis?

Indeed. 1000 posts! good effort no.4! ;) I agree Wang Liqin had the best loop of the 2000s, but now Ma Long and Zhang Jike have taken over, as well as Xu Xin. Wang Hao was always great to watch, really smooth. The most effective is hard to pick! Schlager had one of the most impressive...
  10. Unusual Ranking Fact - Ma Long

Another unusual statistic: You may or may not be aware that percentage of Right:Left handed people in the world is 93:7 This surprised me a great deal when I first learned it! The reason is because in Table Tennis there are many more left handers than 7% of players. I had a look at this...

  16. 2012 Hungary Open Stats

Indeed... I'm sure Joo's unforced errors are getting less these days. He is improving at attacking style! Maybe I'll do this task for the men's final.
  17. Adrian Crisan Interview WR 34

Hi Dan, just made a new stats thread, and the image is a thumbnail again. Almost impossible to read. Could you full-size it for me? Or better yet, could you give members the ability to do so...
  19. 2012 Hungary Open Stats

Well, yes that would be an interesting statistic. However, it would require the impossible. I would need to watch every one of the 733 matches played.
