Yesssss!!!! You took my opinion into consideration and got yourself the 802-40 pro!!:) I remembered telling you about it after I had a game with a bloke using it. Nice:)... He was flicking my backspin at his will. It wasn't the fast flick, but , enough to keep me off balanced. It takes a bit to...
  2. Best Of Table Tennis

The Ma Long over the table BH slomo topspin and WLQ's final smash at the end just caps it for me!!:) Just watched it again, couldn't help myself:)....Poetry in motion, especially the matrix stuff.
  3. Could anyone translate the vid?

Ahhhh...I know what he's talking about:) It's how to hit a fast low top spin (instead of a loop). Keeping your eye level about the same height as the ball, which means you have to squat. Letting the ball drop too low or standing upright will make it difficult to do so.
  4. How to serve backspin and nospin

Quite simply most players do..he made the contact as normally people serve a backspin, and pulled his hand away a fraction just after the contact. Just the way Ma Lin does. :) He can varies it with a nospin serve as well by incorporating it with a gentle push.
  5. Sponge on rubbers

Thanx Richard:)..basically what I am asking if whether what generally makes a rubber being categorised as soft. medium or hard rubbers..is it the sponge or the rubber itself. Carl had explained it quite thoroughly, saying it's a combination, including the pips and colour of the sponge. From what...

  7. TT as a profession

In Malaysia too, some players represent the army, navy, air force and even local authorities. They're paid by their respective "employers". This go to the extend of other sports too, where the financial institutions (banks) pick up their tabs. Aside from that, if you're not attached to anyone...

  10. Calibra LT or Calibra LT +

For some reason, Vega is heavier. I think it's the type of sponge that they use that makes them heavy. Same goes to other ESN rubbers.
  11. How TT balls are made (VIDEO)

I think somebody posted the video sometime last year. But then, it's always good to watch it again:)..Never heard of anyone slapping the balls so hard that they split into two, you're the first Matt:) I am honoured!!!hahaha
  12. Calibra LT or Calibra LT +

I think what phillypong said, the rubber is suited for players who have a little more experience and train a lot:) Not for recreational players. Basically, it's for those who take their TT really seriously:)

  16. Waldner throws his racquet!

The sound effect was hilarious, but the facial expression of his opponent seeing the bat rolling in front of him was priceless. He moved to the side a little so as to allow it roll...a crashed UFO:)
  17. Chinese Footwork (Video)

Thanx Anders.:) Were they coaching the players or coaches?

  19. Chinese Footwork (Video)

I'm curious, where was these videos shot? The facility didn't look as if it was in China. It was like a coaching clinic.
