Just look for blades. That are walnut-spruce. I actually miss this blade. The feel is so good. I think you can still find some sites selling this. I found one in Singapore.
To be honest, i like the AZXi personally because it is tamed. The AZX is more of a beast that needs control and adjustment but when you do it is a powerful blade.
Dead as not being super slow but it seem to lack the bounciness compared to fxp being a backhand rubber. El-s is much better. I would say el-p is good. For the forehand as not being too bouncy gives better control.
I have played and used quite a few sp rubbers because i use them to coach. I never said they are faster than inverted becase the topsheet elasticity is different. I am just saying they are not slow.

Short pips should be used peak of the bounce or on the rise. If you are contacting the ball late (unless you are chopping), you are defeating the purpose of using Short pip. Also max sponge sp rubbers are no way slow even with passive blocking.
