I would either try Der_Echte's advice with the olive oil/lemon juice mixture or try find gekko rubber cleaner on eBay. It says it even changes non-tacky rubbers into tacky ones. Never tried it personally though. My rubbers are nuff tacky.

Playing outdoors is a total different game compared to indoor (well, depends on the playing level) IMHO. But nevertheless it still can be a lot of fun. Thanks for the link though.

Most rubbers last about 3 - 6 months, depending on how often you play. Many will “lose their life“ even sooner, so a year is quite a long time...
