  3. increasing backswing speed

Big chinese FH requires early preparation.(I've got massive back swing). The back swing goes back very early; ie after the ball leaves the opponent's racket. Try to anticipate the next shot coming to you. You see, with big swings, your racket is travelling greater distance..combination of...

Stiga Boosts TP Medium to Hard Spin : Good spin but not as spinny as TS Throw : Low Speed : Very fast, ideal for power spin (speed & spin) Pros : Excellent for fast attack close to table( bcoz of its low throw) and extremely good for far from table attack. I don't have to open up the racket...

Hi Sidthelefty, here's the interview with Liu, where he admitted his weaknesses. It's the continuation of the above interview. R: Our researchers like Dr. Zhang have compiled a lot of statistics on our opponents, and they have come up with analyses of their strengths and weaknesses. They have...

  10. Is ITTF good enough? NOOOOOO

Like pingpongpom said, sponsorship is the way to go. ITTF should promote TT more, and instead of fiddling with the rules, they should bring in more sponsorships, world wide promotions etc. For example, tennis players in their ATP Tour, they play exhibition matches before the actual tourney. They...

  12. should i switch to short pips?

Hi guys, I think i know what Scylla & Dici meant. We must understand that the game is developing tremendously. The trainings are harder, the players are much more conditioned, faster and stronger. The techniques are also getting better. All they're saying, players using pips that are really...

  14. should i switch to short pips?

I assume you want short pips for your FH, and you want an offensive one at that. Well, I don't use pips rubber, but I can safely say that I played against quite a number of players using them. One of the rubbers that I am familiar with is Butterfly Challenger. It offers good control for both...
  15. What Stiga Blade?

I can safely say Optimum Carbo. It's fast but not springy, and the best part is that it has a larger sweet spot than any other Stiga series. But at the end of the day, it's you that will be using the equipment buddy.
  16. What Stiga Blade?

I must say you do have a quite a FH. You see, TSP blades are well damper, which means just like me, you have a problem feeling your shots. I had the same problems with butterfly blades. Now, I only use Stiga coz it gives me a lot more feel, because it vibrates a little. The blades I'm using are...
  17. What Stiga Blade?

Hi Spitfire, thats an extremely fast blade you got there..and springy. It has fibreglass with the balsa and no wonder you have problems executing drop shots. I assume you are an all out offensive player, so I wonder why you are finding drop shots as your main weapon that you must execute...
  18. Results at WTTC 2011

It was a good match, fit for the final. The 6th game was intense when Wang Hao clawed himself back from 5-10 down to earn the deuce. I must congratulate both players. At the end of the day, the mental strength of Jike got him through.
  19. alternative for tenergy?

Can't agree more with Anders, Stiga Boost has about the same durability. The only slight difference is that Boost has a lower throw(smaller flight arc) than tenergy (it is not as forgiving as Tenergy). With boost you have to be spot on. I guess you may try the slightly softer Boost TC or TS.
