  1. unknown_poster Has Been Banned

At the end of the day this is no different to any other community, we are all here to contribute and enjoy the forum. Sounds like he was given plenty of chances to change his behaviour and I know that the last thing Dan would want to do is have to remove someone from the forum, so there is no...
  2. How often do you change/replace your rubber?

I change every 2 months. When I trained in China I changed after 1 month, it depends how vigorous my training schedule is as to how worn down my rubber gets.
  3. Which Rubber do you think got the nicest sound?

Stiga Calibra LT Sound, hands down.
  4. Yuya Oshima - Future of japanese table tennis?

I watched his matches when I was at the China Open, he's pretty impressive. He definitely has more power in his game than Koki Niwa and Mizutani which is why they have had limited results against the Chinese players in the past. I think Oshima and Yoshimura have good potential for the future...
  5. My 1 Month 'Out of This World' Experience in China

It's called Young Shine Table Tennis School, you can find them on Facebook and send a message and ask for more information there. There was a training camp while I was there so I'm not sure what it is usually like.
  6. My 1 Month 'Out of This World' Experience in China

After the US Open I spent a month in China and had the experience of a lifetime. Thanks to my blog I was able to meet up with some of the best players in the World and have some incredible moments in training and competition. I started with 2 weeks in Zhengding National Training Base, this is...
  7. Dan vs 12 year old wonderkid from China!

Not bad for a 12 year old lol. I was taken to the Beijing Women's team by Guo Yan on my last day in Beijing and let me tell you, as close as I got in each game I couldn't take one. Even in deuce. They are stone cold freaks out on the table and merciless haha. All in all a great experience...
  8. Best member/poster on TableTennisDaily!

Well I'm giving my vote to Carl. No matter how you look at it I think he has added the most value to this forum as a user (which excludes Dan). Carl has added so much humour, so much knowledge, helped many people, but above all he has maintained an enormous commitment to this forum that not many...
  9. Kids Training at LYTTC

Yea they are enjoying it, some of them have been coming for quite a while now and are seeing some good improvement which is great to see :)
  10. Kids Training at LYTTC

I'll try it takes some work haha. Yea don't even talk to me about my backhand :P
  11. Kids Training at LYTTC

Yes it's in Dunellen, NJ. We also have a large group of Indian players and a few Caucasian families but predominantly Asian. I think it's just the drawing card for the sport and also a lot of Lily's best networking contact comes from the Asian community.
  12. Super Ghost Serve by Japanese player!

I think we will get more female viewers now hahaha Nice vid Tony It's a great serve to learn or just to practice to master a more effective contact and feeling for spin on the ball which in turn will help with all of your serves. He does a good job. I still like the one he does where he lands...
  13. Kids Training at LYTTC

I filmed and edited a new video to try and capture the vibe in the afterschool programme at LYTTC (Lily Yip Table Tennis Center), which is now my home club. Each day the team drive to surrounding schools and pick kids up after school to bring them to the club and allow them to participate in...
  14. How many days do you train a week?

I'm on the table for 6-8 hours a day either playing or coaching. 7 days a week. I'm right in the thick of it. Table Tennis is right up there with food, water and oxygen haha
  15. TableTennisDaily models are back!

They know how to wear it! :) They are just the most warm hearted and fun family you could ever meet in this sport. Look forward to seeing them again in a couple of months! :)
  16. Ma Long for Grand Slam Champion?

This is a huge confidence booster for him, he knows that he can do it now. Before perhaps he was questioning whether he had the mental stability to win a major event like Worlds or Olympics. He was dominant at WTTC, no doubt about it. He peaked at the exact right time and had a determination to...
  17. Your Darkest TT moments!

I don't usually get angry when I am playing, but recently I have found it hard to contain my frustration. My health has caused me to have to take breaks from training and my level has fluctuated a lot and not being able to play the level I want to play at is really starting to get to me. I...
  18. Table Tennis Daily Gear: Do You Have A Shirt Yet?

I had one of the original shirt and shorts, I think it may be in New Zealand though so I won't be able to get it until next time I'm home. Might have to get an upgrade! :D
  19. Equipment Review Centre

I wrote my thoughts about the new review centre on my blog, I think it's great! http://www.mhtabletennis.com/2015/03/tabletennisdaily-launches-equipment.html
  20. 3 star 40+

3 out of 5 rating for 3 star 40+ A lot of people have been saying these are the best plastic balls but I heartily disagree. They are prone to break anywhere on the ball surface and don't appear to be any more durable than the better seamless balls. They also have an inconsistent bounce and are...
