  1. Hungarian Open 2012 - ITTF World Tour

I really want to see Maze perform internationally as well, but he is not on the entries list of the Hungarian Open. Here is his calendar towards the Olympics on his site http://www.michaelmaze.dk/calendar/ Sadly, he can remove the Champions League matches. So it looks like he is not...
  2. Small introduction on rubber differences..

From what I read the Adidas R6 is a relatively soft rubber, although harder than R4. For most players it can be suitable to use on backhand I guess. I think the Tenzone or P-series would more compare to the Calibra. I haven't played with Calibra, but I've seen people on this forum are very...
  3. You can play with anything you want :D (video)

Here's the complete table tennis part.
  4. Introduce yourself to the forum! :)

Welcome to the site guys :) Feel free to make new threads with all your questions and I'm sure the answer will come soon ;)
  5. TT Ball change after 2012 Olympics!

I see. But I assume that the companies working on the new ball should do some research on how to make it 'normal' a bit? You can't just take the spin out of the sport, that would be ridiculous. That's like replacing a basketball with a rubber cube.
  6. TT Ball change after 2012 Olympics!

Tacky Chinese rubbers could be the best for everyone with the new ball then?
  7. Slow Motion Services (NEW)

Well if you are doubting between topspin or backspin, you can try a sidespin receive, so your shot won't be affected by the top/backspin as much.
  8. Hungarian Open 2012 - ITTF World Tour

At least he brings us spectacular table tennis ;) But so do Ma Long and Zhang Jike :) Xu Xin might rise up this year though. Also I am curious what Kim Min Seok will do.
  9. CCTV Sports Personality Awards

Guess so, since his name is Dan :)
  10. You can play with anything you want :D (video)

Aww that's too bad. There is a little preview on Youtube, where they are trying to return Heisters serves with a normal bat. Hopefully there will be more later. After trying, the guy in green says 'I'm not that stupid...', then the guy in black says: 'But that's what it looks like'. Then when...
  11. ETTU Cup 2011-2012

Dusseldorf suffered from injuries alot this year. If they were to fall apart it would be a big blow for German table tennis, but it would also make the Bundesliga more interesting in fact. In full fitness they still are just too strong.
  12. Slow Motion Services (NEW)

Yea I noticed when I watched those serves I can't really figure out wether he is giving backspin or side-topsin. But Joo won't mind and just use his pips ;)
  13. Video: Incredible rallies

    Congrats man :D That's awesome!
  14. The Secrets Of Chinese Table Tennis

I remember that indeed Richard. I read it before after you linked it in a thread. Great article though, all should read it :) Good work to bring it to the site azlan ;)
  15. Gunnar Oberg

He looks like a recreational player to me. No standard technique or footwork. Not too much talent either I'd think, but I could be wrong. Assuming he is the tall guy in the black shirt :)
  16. Ollivier Brice

Haha, a hidden insult :P I don't think he meant it like that xD I also watched that match but I must say I wasn't that impressed with his technique. It looks a bit limited, but maybe that is caused by the footwork sometimes. Timo places well of course :)
  17. You can play with anything you want :D (video)

@Steven I saw that, really funny haha. I think the 2 guys also started to play better by the end, what made Heister lose. :P Not just the material he used.
  18. Hungarian Open 2012 - ITTF World Tour

I'm always curious about that... How many players does China have of that level. But I think that their team is really the very top, and those 3-6 players can be considered very rare talents, also in China. Else why would they have players like Chen Qi and Hao Shuai on the team for so long. They...
  19. What is your playing style?

Hehe, there are only few players like Kara xD.
  20. Nervous in a game?

Well it wouldn't help if you can control your nerves when you can't return the opponents shots. Problems with getting nervous result in missing easy balls, or shots that you can return, but fail to return. In the cases you mention I'd suggest to figure out the opponents serve (ask your coach...
