Clever marketing strategy since the names are pretty close to each other. I guess i'm not the first who mixed up these two companies. Edit: maybe pepperfly or gutterfly are also a good names for a TT-brand. ;)

Haha, :-) Now i know, why i mixed this up. He used to be sponsored by STIGA before he went to STAG. But he didn't have a STIGA blade named after him, but instead the handle type, which used to be a straight handle. Thanks for the clarification. :-)...

Very interesting. Thanks for sharing. After all I think that a slight "tunnel vision" isn't just destructive, but maybe also a little helpful and is happening on many (if not all) levels of tt players. Some players are so deeply focused on their game, that they totally forget about the score...

I'm not sure, but it seems you are mixing things up. As far as i've been told STAG is a chinese company, and Peter Karlsson's sponsored by the swedish company STIGA. I'm not sure if STIGA rubbers are produced in japan (maybe Dan or someone from STIGA can confirm this), but STAG rubbers are...

As far as i've been told, that copydex glue is almost the same as that revolution3 glue, which has ITTF approval, so it should be pretty safe using it as well. I just bought a glue called "connect speed" from a small german company called www.soulspin.tt which is also a latex water based glue...

And at last we found this rubber here. The topsheet is very darkish red. It actually came with a white sponge, but due to the VOCs in the glue (from topsheet to the sponge) it turned PINK!! :D

and then there was this one... this was pretty popular BEFORE the Black&Red Rubber Rule. FH: Friendship 729 blue sponge dark red 2.0 BH: Donic Slick 2.0 in green (!!) Blade: Taico 60 That bluesponged Friendship played completely different than the one with the white/pink sponge. The one with...

and anotha one... these rubbers were bought @schölermicke's shop in frankfurt on the 3rd of September in 1985 (!!) and are still unused. And again i just didn't have the heart to try 'em... But maybe one of these dayz.... We even found the bill. :cool:
