  1. What does Table Tennis Need to grow?

In any country you have TV shows that focuses on backgrounds. This goes for sports as well. I think it would be a big help for TT growth if some national players get interviewed regularly in those programs, so people get to know table tennis. There are enough interesting videos like that on...
  2. What's your favourite table tennis video of all time?

Has to be this one and of course what happened after that ;)
  3. Players You Dislike

Players did that more before the glue ban. But usually it was the winning player I think. :P
  4. Who has the greatest 'kill-shot' in table tennis?

I don't know.. Can't really pick from those, neither can I think of some shot from someone that stands out above other shots. Of course I like Maze's sidespin BH :) But it's not much of a killer shot and he doesn't do it that often.
  5. Interview with Adam Bobrow

Ah okay too bad. Anyway it is a good thing he took his time for this interview :D
  6. Interview with Adam Bobrow

You should have him write colums for the site :P His answers are well written xD
  7. Interview with Adam Bobrow

Great job Matt, this guy is amazing. I only knew him from the celebration vid at 10-0 down :P Good to see that he has very interesting ideas about promoting TT. Also those shorts are pretty funny. xD
  8. TableTennisDaily Birthday - 1 Year -

Amazing achievements there! =D I don't think I need to say how much we all are enjoying the efforts u have put into this. Keep it up and I'm sure there will be an even more impressive birthday next year :D
  9. Players You Dislike

Indeed, it's good that we don't all play the same style :)
  10. Austrian Open 2011 (Pro Tour)

In Rotterdam it was the 6th game ;)
  11. Players You Dislike

@Richard That last part of ur post seems to imply that u find drop shots easier than smashes. That is only the case when the opponents lob is too close to the net and with not much spin. Waldner's dropshots were often against normal spinless balls, not necessarily lobs or short after the net...
  12. Players You Dislike

Well Matt I hav to agree with u but then u have to admit that in general the behaviour in tt isn't that bad at all. There's just a few times that it occurs in the pro's circuit, so I find that tolerable. This goes for making noise as well. You can just turn the volume down :P Anyway if you let...
  13. How much potential does Ma Lin have in London Olympics?

Maybe ZJK and WH made an agreement in Rotterdam that ZJK would win worlds and WH Olympics cuz ZJK can still get it 2016 :P
  14. How much potential does Ma Lin have in London Olympics?

Wang Hao could very well win it, although I'd prefer Zhang Jike. I would feel sorry for Wang Hao having 3 silver Olympic medals and no gold :P Young penholders should start copying Wang's rpb and they'll be fine ;)
  15. Players You Dislike

The 'overreaction' and 'arrogance' comes with playing style. Waldner's style was never based on power, but on tactics and brilliant placement. When he wins a point he would already be thinking about how to go on. Yes he has a pokerface, but that doesn't necessarily make him arrogant. As for...
  16. New impossible shot hehe.

That is pretty cool yea haha. Sort of a straight forward push/chop xD
  17. Austrian Open 2011 (Pro Tour)

If they would let someone get experience I don't think it would be Hao Shuai. Remember that unbelievable comeback from Maze against him at the WTTC? That was in 2005, so 6 years ago. I don't know Shuai's age but he is definitely not a young talent who needs experience in my opinion. Having...
  18. Austrian Open 2011 (Pro Tour)

That's a defender right? :P Not suprised in that case. Apolonia doesn't make the best of his point from his attack. He has a mediocre loop, so he will have trouble with any defender that can give a decent amount of backspin.
  19. University - Sports Performance

Best of luck to the two of you!! Good to focus some more on your personal achievements in study after giving so much to all of us tt fans around the world! I'm sure u can do it!
  20. What does Table Tennis Need to grow?

I don't think there is anything wrong with table tennis as a sport. Slowing it down would definitely not make it more popular, but just confirm people's thoughts that table tennis is not a tough sport. If people get interested in table tennis they will be able to see what happens on TV and in...
