  1. Need help on building my first racket

Yes go ahead and get it. Do NOT learn your strokes using T05 like your clubmates suggested. You will be better off, yes, using all wood blade and using Rakza series right now.
  2. Need help on building my first racket

I am the third person say, it is a good set-up. I have played with Tibhar Stratus Power Wood. it is a great blade. I have like 5 of them. I have also used Rakza 7 soft on my BH. I like it.
  3. Will Butterfly eventually drop the price of the 'Tenergy' series?

That is why I don't play with much Butterfly product. I like my hurricane. What I heard is that most brands would sell it to the reseller at 50% of the market price. But Butterfly would sell it the official reseller at 70% of the market price. That 20% is where the money is at and without that...
  4. Anyone tried the new Stiga Mantra Sound?

Mantra Sounds looks like it is a made-in-China product, from the sponge and the printing on the sponge. It plays fine.
  5. Nittaku fastarc c1 or p1

I think so. When I used wood blade, G-1 felt good. Then when I switched to carbon, G-1 felt too fast. I went back to C-1 with carbon blade and C-1 is fast enough.
  6. prott.vip LEGIT?

Prott must have gone mad officially. Player Equipment in 2020 China super league Price : $99999.00 Wang CHUQIN 2023 personal Q968 No.1 $2000.00 National player version W968 NO.1 $1200.00 I don't think I have a single credit card whose limit exceeds $99,999.00. I put that blade in my carte...
  7. Shin Yubin possible signature blades?

Knowing DHS, it wants to make as much money as possible so Hurricane Shin will come out for sure. :) :)
  8. Shin Yubin possible signature blades?

Pretty sure "Hurricane Shin" will be coming out soon! No, I won't be buying it because I cannot justify spending $500-$900 on a national version of Ma Long V. I mean we already have the National version for WCQ, Ma Long and Sun Yinsha. How many more national versions of the Ma Long V blade do...
  9. Nittaku fastarc c1 or p1

I like C-1 on my backhand. If you like G-1 on your forehand, then you might like C-1 on your backhand. Both G-1 and C-1 do not have that much catapult effect, which I like. G-1 is heavier than C-1; you can tell when you pick up a blade that has G-1 v.s. C-1 on the backhand side (my forehand has...
  10. Trying to buy my first blade...

When I played one-side only Jpen, I was forehand dominated. When I played Chinese penhold, RPB, I was also forehand dominated. Now I am playing shakehand, I am still forehand dominated. Some things just don't change :) :) Yeah for my backhand, I aim to open up with a slow loop to get into a...
  11. Trying to buy my first blade...

You are mixing up Xiom Vega Europe Hybrid v.s. Xiom Vega Europe. The former is the one on sales. Xiom Vega Europe Hybrid has a 45 degree ESN sponge, not too hard and not too soft. I started playing with one side Jpen. Then I switched to Chinese penhold with RPB. Then I switched to shakehand...
  12. Trying to buy my first blade...

If you live in the US, don't bother with Aliexpress. Shipping takes forever. Go to tabletennis11.com and look at the weekly sales section. Tibhar Samsonov Force Pro Black Edition Ch.Pen $39.77 Neottec Racket Cover Game 2T navy/grey $7.88 DHS Skyline 2 Neo 2.15 black...
  13. Under $5 rubbers

Agree. All the topsheet has difference softness (even if the sponge is on the same ESN scale of hardness) and the symmetry of the pips are laid out differently. Too much noise. Just trust your own hand to see if you like the rubber or not. And of course Barracuda, C-1, Rakza 7 soft, Rozena...
  14. Boosted Rxton 3 Pink/Blue?

729 Aurora Max? I think I need to wear down my current set of rubbers before buying another new sheet of something to try.
  15. Friendship 2-in-1 new sponge?

I saw the link. Interesting idea. I really cannot think of an advantage to this set up unless you can loop the ball differently by a) using the top sheet to spin the ball only so you barely engage the top sponge v.s. b) using the sponge to loop the ball so you are engaging both layers of the...
  16. Under $5 rubbers

I only played Sanwei Target National orange sponge once, after some boosting. The sponge (40 degree) is not as lively as Hurricane 3 commercial orange sponge but good enough (i.e. Sanwei Target National orange sponge's is bouncier and more likely than other cheaper Chinese rubber I have tried...
  17. Boosted Rxton 3 Pink/Blue?

I have boosted Rxton 3 pink twice. Nothing. There is no catapult effect. So I ripped it off and it is not attached to any blade right now. I need my BH rubber to be a bit bouncy so not impressed with Rxton 3 pink (or Big Dipper or anything chinese) on my BH side.
  18. h5ae55yayae5

Tibhar Aurus is a great suggestion. I think the speed is much less than MX-P though. However if you play, say, Mark V v.s. Tibhar Aurus side by side, you can tell that Tibhar Aurus does have some catapult effect so Tibhar Aurus is a good suggestion. If you like the Evolution series, then go...
  19. Help with backhand rubber

If you are changing you blade, stick with H8 and Desto F4. Trust me. You do not want to change your blade and your rubbers at the same time. It will take way too long for you to get adjusted and playing won't be fun for a while. Every blade is unique. Just because sanwei v5 pro is similar to...
  20. Modern "classic" rubbers

Out of all of them, I have a sheet of Victas Ventus Regular. Cheap (relatively). Not too bouncy. I think OP will like it.
