  1. really struggling with long pips (LP) low-med spin

Agree with Lazer. There are two things you can do: One, serve to the side where the player does not have LP, which is likely the forehand side. If the player then stands on his forehand to push pips to push, then you serve no spin fast to far backhand side to keep the other player honest...
  2. Recommendations for a soft controlled BH-Rubber?

I think so. You have been using Butterfly Flextra. So Vega Europe DF and Baracuda should be faster than Flextra but not too fast. I think you will be happy!
  3. Recommendations for a soft controlled BH-Rubber?

Aurus (regular Aurus, not Aurus soft) is less catapulty than Rozena. I have not played G-1 for a while so I will reserve my comment on that one for now.
  4. Recommendation, upgrading from MX-P to Dignics 09C or MK?

I don't know. how did you like EL-P when you had it? did you switch the blade and try EL-P on your forehand? I am using EL-P on my backhand and I love it. So not changing it. EL-P is also more affordable than Tenergy and Dignics. Like you, I hated Tenergy. Not sure what the appeal is. Going...
  5. How to play against high topspin loops?

A few comments: I probably would not smash the ball. It is harder than you think. At lower level, yeah, their topspin is not very strong. But when they put their bodies into the shot and the ball comes back high and slow, where do you think all the kinetic energy went into? Into the spin! You...
  6. How to play against high topspin loops?

Yes exactly. You have block the ball as soon as it bounces to reduce error. And close your racket more. One thing I always say is that the ball does not lie. If you hit the ball into the net, you have to open your racket more. If you hit the ball off the end of the table, you have to close your...
  7. Screwed by AliExpress.... again.

I don't think I have had anything not delivered. Yes once something was said to have been "delivered" but was not. But same as my experience, one week later it showed up. I think the shipping time varies a lot depending on the vendors.
  8. Please suggest a blade with a handle similar to Viscaria FL

Stuor Viscaria clone is currently about $28 or maybe $31-$32 including import tax from Aliexpress? I think he can afford to buy one and just chop the handle off. :) :)
  9. Is Sanwei Target National a good forehand rubber?

I am really disappointed by the tackiness (or lack thereof) of the various hybrids. So I am going to stick with Chinese rubber on my forehand side. Now, half of my blades have H3 neo provincial blue sponge on them and half of my blades have Sanwei Target National. I am happy with them. I don't...
  10. New Equipment 2024

Well we all know which USATT team member messed up in the recent team championship by boosting too much and not monitoring his overall thickness to get below the 4.0mm cut off. Agree. Some players should not boost anything thicker than 2.0mm sponge apparently...lol :) :)
  11. New Equipment 2024

I like Fastarc C-1. Max sponge thickness is 2.0mm. It is plenty fast for me. A few years ago Fastarc G-1 went from max sponge thickness of 2.0mm to 2.1 or 2.2mm? I am not sure if I noticed much difference between them. I have been using Tibhar revolution series lately. And on the packaging, I...
  12. Is Sanwei Target National a good forehand rubber?

Got it! Thanks for your help. Ok so Megaspin is selling the newer version. Honestly I like both versions just fine. I feel that Sanwei Target National's sponge is a bit less dynamic than H3 neo provincial blue sponge 39 degrees. But the price difference does not justify it for me. I just...
  13. Please suggest a blade with a handle similar to Viscaria FL

Stuor Viscaria clone? I get it from Stuor 2017 store on Aliexpress. It is dirt cheap.
  14. Can rubbers achieve even more catapult than currently?

Maybe I am old school. I am still making my way through that first generation of rubbers. Today I put EL-P on my backhand for the first time (I have tried MX-P, MX-S, EL-S, FX-D and FX-P before) and I like it a lot. MX-S is wayyyyy too hard for my backhand. I had no control with MX-P. I think my...
  15. Can rubbers achieve even more catapult than currently?

Please send that sheet of Rozena my way. I love love springy rubber on my backhand side! :)
  16. Is Sanwei Target National a good forehand rubber?

Ok, I am totally confused as in which Sanwei Target National is new and which one is old. So I have two sheets sitting in front of me. The one I got from Aliexpress, the printing of "Sanwei Target National" looks newer (more modern if you know what I mean) and the ITTF approval number is...
  17. Nittaku C1 vs Butterfly Rozena

interesting...I have never tried P-1. Not sure if I want to get a sheet.
  18. Nittaku C1 vs Butterfly Rozena

C-1 and Rozena are doable. C-1 and Rozena in my backhand side, feel about the same. Rozena has that Tenergy-lite feel to it. I think C-1 an Rozena is similar enough that you can choose either one and get started with it.
  19. Xiom Vega series

I really think the Vega series is under-rated and should have been more popular.
  20. How were pendulum serves returned, before the backhand Flip was more established?

Agree. YouTube seems to be a good source of info. I mean, the rallies are longer nowadays. Back then Liu Goliang was not that much fun to watch. Serve and smash. Point is over. I mean the recent final, it was fascinating to see Sun Yingsha and Wang Manyu duked it out. However, the lack of...
