Yes I would say so. On Aliexpress, you have to take into account of shipping cost and import tax. They do calculate it for you before check-out. The prices always end up being maybe 10-15% higher than the listed price. Like Mercury 2 is listed at $4.99 but you will never end up paying $4.99...
  2. Nittaku Fastarc Series

Got it. I put the link below. Yes, it seems that G-1 and C-1 share the same topsheet. The blind finger tests shows that C-1 is harder than MX-P which is hard to believe. I used to have a sheet of MX-P lying around and I have one sheet of MX-S in my hand right now. Yeah, no way C-1 is harder than...

Got it. I wonder if you are getting the vibration? There are a couple carbon blades where when I hit, I can feel it vibrate (most carbon blades are stiff and should not vibrate). Two blades came into mind, Sanwei Pro 3 and Yasaka Ma Lin Soft Carbon. And I don't like my blade vibrate. It feels...
  4. I finally decided on a paddle I can stick with!!!

I would not downplay the importance of one night! Lol! :) :) So I was struggling with backhand loop for a while. I was using G-1 before, max sponge. One day I decided to pull out an old rubber, well still in its original packaging of 2.0mm C-1 and stuck it on my backhand. All of the sudden...
  5. Nittaku Fastarc Series

Since I got some invaluable feedbacks on the thread, "Xiom Vega Series," I decide to start one on the Nittkau Fastarc series. I have used in various times C-1 and G-1. I will start with my impression before asking some questions. I believe C-1 and G-1 share the same top sheet. Supposedly...
  6. Xiom Vega series

Great! Thank you for your answer. So I was not imaging things. I don't care much for the "Tenergy 05" clicking sound. After all, I am used to Rakza 7 soft and C-1. Neither produces that kind of sound. So far I like the Xiom Vega series because it is a spectrum and you can move up on the sponge...
  7. I finally decided on a paddle I can stick with!!!

I feel like I can go back and forth between Gambler Blackout and Vector Speed blades. Backhand, I can go in between Rakza 7 soft, Rakza X soft, C-1, Vega Europe and Vega Asia. Forehand has to be hurricane. For me, that's about five blades I can go in between I guess?
  8. Xiom Vega series

I just played with Vega Asia and Vega Pro today. Vega Pro definitely makes that distinct "Tenergy 05" clicking noise while Vega Europe has no such a sound. Vega Asia is somewhere in between. I like Vega Asia better and it felt softer than Pro. Supposedly their sponge hardness is the same. Does...

Do you find Gambler Wingwood blade to be too fast for you? Too slow for you? Or just about the right speed? I have a Gambler Wingwood blade lying around somewhere. I just have not gotten around to put the rubbers on it yet so I have no comment about it. I honestly think it is the rubber that...
  10. Haifu rubbers are they good?

Are you sticking with tensor ESN rubber on your backhand or no? I have experimented with CJ8000, AK-47 and Big Dipper. I am done with Chinese rubber on my backhand. It just does not work. I am not tempted at this moment. By the way, I just put Battle II provincial blue sponge on my forehand on...
  11. I finally decided on a paddle I can stick with!!!

Lol! Please read my past posts. I am a big fan of Tibhar Stratus Power Wood! I own like six of them. Do not change your blade too much or your equipment too much. You need to get used to it. When it is time for you to upgrade and you want something faster, I would recommend Tibhar Fortino...
  12. Equipment you want Dan and Tom to review?

I agree. That's why I have been EJ'ing myself. Online reviews are often not useful.
  13. Xiom Vega series

I used C-1 many years ago before upgrading to G-1. Then I switched from wood to carbon and G-1 feels too hard on my carbon blade. But C-1 is now fitting very well with my BH when I use carbon blade. You will like C-1. Both G-1 and C-1 last like forever. They would not die.
  14. Butterfly should update thier looks.

Yes I would probably just frame it! When it is so good looking, why cover it up with rubbers? His price overall is not bad. I can see how all the add-on's like carbon on each side and a very very complicated handle can push the price to $150-$200 a blade easily. But I rather buy that than spend...

What do you like and not like about Gambler Wingwood blade? I have tried the following Gambler blades: Gambler Fire Dragon Fast Gambler Fire Dragon Hinoki Gambler Fire Dragon Touch Gambler Blackout Max Speed Carbon Gambler AC Hero Gambler Balsa Knight Gambler GLine X Fast Carbon Gambler Vector...
  16. Xiom Vega series

So I have six carbon blades (same maker and same model). All of them have hurricane on the FH side. The BH sides are Rakza 7 soft; Rakza X soft.; C-1; Vega Pro; Vega Europe and Vega Asia. I like Rakza 7 soft the most. It has the most catapult effect. Rakza X soft is basically Rakza 7 soft but...
  17. Butterfly should update thier looks.

I am a fan of his work. His current waitlist is about 6 months long. Quite honestly, I want a blade from him as a piece of art work and will ask for the most bling bling out handle. I have little interest in actually playing the blade for serious competition. I have plenty of blades as of now...
  18. I wanna play with the big boys!

I agree with you. I find it challenging. I don't see a problem with pips. Hey, after we all get old at some point. You never know when any of us need to stick a long-pips or anti rubber on the backhand side. You should not judge. At my club, there is an older gentleman who plays with hardbat...
  19. Butterfly should update thier looks.

Please visit SDC's website. It looks like blades do not need to be ITTF approved (but yet in order to compete in Japan, the baldes have to be JTTA approved. https://www.sdcttblades.com/
  20. Best short push tutorial bar none

I grew up playing Jpen. My Chinese coach taught me those points back in the 1990's. He asked me to put my leg below the table and get my whole body as close to the ball as possible. Unlike backhand push, forehand push the wrist is locked. If you take it off the bounce, the ball will go back...
