  1. How do you know if your Yinhe Mercury 2 (or II) has 2.0mm sponge or 2.2mm sponge?

Got it. So that is the answer. I do have a scale. Thanks!
  2. Loki Rxton III Pink Review

Cannot tell because both were boosted before I put on a blade. I did not put them on a blade unboosted. I am sure they are hard and once you apply enough power, they are good rubber. I think on WRM-TV youtube Japanese channel they spoke highly of the pink Rxton 3. But if you are expecting...
  3. Loki Rxton III Pink Review

yes they were boosted. They are just hard with little to no catapult effect. So I feel that they are difficult to play with. I actually like Rxton 1 Plus instead. The sponge is soft. However, also no catapult effect. I might be pulling that rubber off and replace it with something else. I...
  4. Loki Rxton III Pink Review

Great video! Are you trying to build out your YouTube channel? I have both Pink and Blue on my backhand side. I don't like it. I think I am used to ESN tensor rubber so I don't want to do all the work. But Rxton 3 pink and blue is $14 a sheet on Aliexpress, compared to $45 a sheet for Rakza...
  5. Top 10 Best Backhand Rubbers of All Time

I would say 70% of what he says I agree. But I don't agree with the other 30%. Some people believe he is a fraud. Some people say it would be funny if he is a 900 USATT or 1000 USATT ranked player who gives out advise to other people. I am now following a few Chinese, Vietnamese, and Japanese...
  6. How do you know if your Yinhe Mercury 2 (or II) has 2.0mm sponge or 2.2mm sponge?

So I just received a shipment from NewNew store via Aliexpress that states "supposedly" the Mercury 2 (or Mercury II) I ordered is 2.2mm in sponge thickness. The problem is, I fipped the package upside down and inside out, and I still could not tell! I have Mercury 2.0mm sponge thickness from...
  7. What’s a blade or rubber you keep coming back to?

I keep on going back to H3 on my forehand (and now TG3 or TG2 since they stop making H3 tacky tacky). I have cheated on H3 with Sanwei National Target, Big Dipper black 40 degree, Tibhar K1 European version, Tibhar K2. But those are just flings. They are not for me long-term. Backhand, I used...
  8. Dignics 05 vs Xiom Vega X

My view is that once someone is used to the catapult effect of Butterfly rubber, I agree; G-1 not much catapult might be disappointing. X has enough catapult but not too much. I think the OP will be happier with X than G-1.
  9. Dignics 05 vs Xiom Vega X

My interpretation is that G-1 costs $46 and X costs $40 on TT11 so not much of a price difference. However Dandoy is running $26 special on Xiom Vega X without the bulk 30% discount. I think that is a big deal. sometimes trying to order $350 to get 30% is a bit daunting.
  10. Soft Tensor Rubber in Rasanter series, Gewo brand and Victas brand

Thank you for your insight. I did not know that black is a bit softer and spinner so maybe R42 black would be better than order R37. I am aware of TT11's weekly discount. I just put in three rubbers to be delivered next week: Xiom Vega max, and two sheets of Xiom Vega 2.0mm. I am thinking...
  11. Soft Tensor Rubber in Rasanter series, Gewo brand and Victas brand

Thank you for your feedback. Since EL is a bit softer, then one sheet of Gewo Nexxus EL 43 and a sheet of R37 would be perfect. Yes I have spent a lot of money over the years. I have never played with Gewo and Victas rubber (and I only have one sheet of R47, color green) so I am curious. But...
  12. Soft Tensor Rubber in Rasanter series, Gewo brand and Victas brand

Yes agree. I think I might try softer rubber like Ventus Limber. Eventually when my backhand loop gets better, my guess is go to max sponge for ESN 37-40 degree rubber, then after a while, move up to 45-47.5 degree ESN rubber. Then that's pretty much it. I highly doubt I need 50 degree ESN...
  13. Soft Tensor Rubber in Rasanter series, Gewo brand and Victas brand

I think maybe my backhand might even like softer than 45 ESN. Is Victas made in Japan? All the rest (Andro, Gewo, Revolution series and Fastarc series) are ESN? Thank you!
  14. Soft Tensor Rubber in Rasanter series, Gewo brand and Victas brand

Yes so maybe I will get one sheet of EL 43 and one sheet of R37? That way I will zone in what my backhand likes even more? I think Rakza 7 soft is in the 37-40 degree range and C-1 might be slightly harder than that. But my backhand really cannot tell the difference between Rakza 7 soft and...
  15. Soft Tensor Rubber in Rasanter series, Gewo brand and Victas brand

Appreciate your feedback. Yes didn't C-1 and Rakza came out 10 or even 15 years ago? I think Tenergy came out in 2008 or so? Yes maybe the new generation does generate more spin. That's why I am curious. I figured maybe one sheet of Nexxus rubber and one sheet of Rasanter rubber to try.
  16. Soft Tensor Rubber in Rasanter series, Gewo brand and Victas brand

Lol, you are being honest with me! With the newer tensor rubbers being $55 or $63 a piece, it is getting expensive. Like Butterfly product expensive. I am currently digesting a big shipment of blades coming in. I have run out of AK47 and CJ8000 to test on my backhand side. I could order more C-1...
  17. Soft Tensor Rubber in Rasanter series, Gewo brand and Victas brand

Thank you for your explanation. Yes I seem to get the impression that any with Limber at the end is softer and you clarified it for me. Victas really named their rubbers weird. I am so confused by it. The Rasanter series and the Gewo EL Pro series seem to name their products by sponge hardness...
  18. Soft Tensor Rubber in Rasanter series, Gewo brand and Victas brand

Thank you for your invaluable feedback. I did see that several rubbers in various series has "Limber" attached to the name, at the end. Does that mean that rubber is the softest in that series? Also how catapulty are the Victas rubbers in general? I like some catapult but not too much. So if...
  19. Soft Tensor Rubber in Rasanter series, Gewo brand and Victas brand

Hi all, It is time for me to ask a question. I am very familiar with the Tenergy fx series, Tibhar Revolution series, Nittaku Fastarc Series and Yasaka Rakza series. However, I have no clue about Gewo brand, Victas brand and the Rasanter series. My backhand does really well with soft tensor...
  20. Rasanter R42 & R45 alternatives

If you like to punch and want a more linear rubber, look no further than G-1. It is a tensor rubber. When you play with it and, say, compared to Hurricane, it is a tensor. No mistake about it. But it is very linear. Where you want to go, G-1 will take you there. It is less catapulty than the...
