  1. Can you boost Tibhar Evolution EL-D???

Got it. Hope it works on the new blade. I think I have finally moved on from Tibhar Stratus Power Wood. I am moving onto inner carbon blades so I am stripping Yinhe Big Dipper, Sanwei Target National and H3 neo from the wood blade to the carbon blades. On the backhand side, I am stripping Rakza...
  2. Can you boost Tibhar Evolution EL-D???

Got it. Did it expand a bit more so it is easier to stick on your paddle? You said it shrunk quite a bit when you took it out!
  3. Sun Yang looks crazy good

Looks good. Hopefully he will redefine modern chopper. his forehand looks better than most offensive players!
  4. Screaming during play? Illegal?

Agree. Keep on playing and let the referee decide especially all the research people pulled up at this forum clearly says, "no, Lind, you are wrong. There is no such clear rule that says you automatically just get the point."
  5. Nittaku hurricane 3 PRO turbo ?

I have a Sanwei Target Provincial black sheet from BEO store on Aliexpress. I just don't have time to test it at all right now. But thank you for the input. I will look out for the differences!
  6. Can you boost Tibhar Evolution EL-D???

Haifu National Yellow! Good choice. Below is how my EL-S domed up. looks about the same!
  7. Post your latest EJ purchase

Lol, there is a reason H3 neo is a best seller. come join the dark side...of having chinese rubber on your forehand.
  8. Can you boost Tibhar Evolution EL-D???

One layer is good enough. No need to use 2 or 3 layers.
  9. Looking for a blade/set up recommendation

You will like either Tibhar Stratus Power Wood (a bit slower) or Donic Persson Powerplay (a bit faster). Both won't break your bank. Agree with Vega intro or Vega X or Vega Europe. You already tried Xiom rubber and you like it.
  10. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

With the video's, I am just hoping to help people realize when talking about USATT rating, how it translates to other playing levels in, say, France or Ukraine. Yes, US (and Canada) are not exactly the hot bed of table tennis talents. I hope to reach USATT 2000 level one day. I have been...
  11. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Let us use some videos to settle the debate. Below are based on USATT ratings: This is what 2000 level players play like: This is what 2200 to 2350 level players play like (two videos): This is what 2400 to 2500 level players play like:
  12. Post your latest EJ purchase

Thank you for letting us know! I think I will stick with H3 neo for now on my FH.
  13. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

Ok, I have not had the time to read all the posts. Please see the photos below. Blade is the same: Tibhar Stratus Power Wood (I told everyone, yes, I have 8 of them). Tested rubber: Sanwei Target National (Black, not boosted) Sanwei Target National (Red, boosted) Rakza 7 red Loki RXTON 1 black...
  14. Suggestion needed for Jr player

I have to go back to the first page. this is for a 10-year old player's set-up? I have to go back to my original recommendation: Nittaku Fastarc C-1 or Tibhar Evolution EL-S, or Rakza 7 soft. All three are good tensor rubbers that should be relatively like. If you are not sure, then you cannot...
  15. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

I think you should go to tournaments to have fun. If you have fond memories of going in during your younger years, then please bring a few buddies and go together!!!
  16. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

About 2300 player looking like 2300 level player or not.... Many times when you play a player much lower rating than you are, you tend to play it safe. You know if you want to attack, you can out attack the other player. You know if you want to be steady and rally, you can out rally the other...
  17. Slow blade with fast rubbers vs. Fast blade with slow rubbers

I agree. I do not like ALL and ALL+ blade. I think people should at minimum, start with OFF- 5-ply wood blade and then go from there.
  18. Soft rubbers suggestions - cheaper alternatives to Vega Europe

I am going to go off the trail a bit. Of note, I used to play penhold for 20 years before switching to shakehand full time 5 years ago. Neottec Katana from TT11. It is cheaper than Xiom Vega Europe. It is built in Japan. Max sponge is out of stock but if you are doing reverse penhold, you want...
  19. Slow blade with fast rubbers vs. Fast blade with slow rubbers

Fast all-wood blade plays very different than fast, outer-carbon blade. They are not the same. No matter how fast the all wood blade it, it still has a feeling of control. My vote is therefore, fast 5-ply or fast 7-ply wood blade with light tensor rubbers to start off with (so say C-1 or Rakza...
  20. Is there Timo Boll ALC CS blade ?

Butterfly can release a shakehand version of the paddle under Dang Qui! after all, he does reverse penhold stroke anyway :)
