Please update us how you like Koki Niwa Wood!!!
I am more decisive because I also EJ'ing with cheap blades and rubber but all those costs do add up over time! I need to cure my EJ at some point soon!
I think we can be fair to say that due to background noise or due to the poor quality of the taping, Alamiyan's calling out was pretty faint. Obviously we are not Lind and we are not there. Similar thing happened with Lebron brothers with FZD and WQC during doubles.
However, a few comments...
Agree. Only players trained classically by a coach understand spin well.
But many people who self learn know what their strengths and weaknesses are and they can be very good (they are just talented). One guy at the club serves either slight back spin or floating no spin, long, to various parts...
DHS G888. Cheap. Good rubber. Tacky tacky top sheet (it is DHS after all). I have bought some pips (short, medium and long) along the way. Recently I installed long pips on one side of the Neottec Kanji Def and G888 on the other side. Chopping and attacking are both of pretty high quality. I...
You hit the ball WHILE your weight is being transferred from the back leg to the front leg. So you have to start weight transfer while the ball is still in your coach hands. Being you have to cheat and start moving right away. I hope that makes sense. Since your coach is feeding you the ball...
Let me jump in. I got a Big Dipper 40 degree black, boosted. Not impressed. I already said it before.
Never tried Provincial H3 neo. I have always used commercial H3 neo 39 degree, buy big batch at a time from TT11. Maybe you need to boost the provincial H3 neo more to soften it up? And I...
Ok I will regret (one more time) responding to this thread. Let us keep it real here.
Am I going to be the next Ma Long? Is James Z going to be the next Koji Matsushita? no. If you don't know who Koji Matsushita is, you should YouTube him. Most acrobatic chopper of all time.
So we are here to...
Donic Persson Powerplay, awesome 7-ply wood, awesome price.
Tibhar Fortino Performance, inner carbon, a bit more speed than 5-ply wood without sarcrificing the touch. Price is pretty good too.
If so, I vote is to peel off the whole top sheet and glue it back to the sponge. I think there are just too many bubbles. better to peel off the whole top sheet and reassemble the whole thing.
My vote is to get a new sheet of rubber. I would hate to fix it and then I hit a shot off the table, and I think my rubber (fixed up) is responsible for that point lost.
I know that oxidation matters. I know people put on protective sheet. I personally don't do any of that. I just wash it with sponge and tap water every time after I play. Once in a long while, I put a tiny tiny bit of dish detergent to clean the surface of the rubber. I don't know. The top...
No easy solution. I think you need to mix up short return, forehand flip and BH chiquita. If the opponent is serving you forehand short consistently with side spin or top spin because he is really good at rallying after that, then you have to vary how you return the serve and vary the placement...
Lol, like a year or two. H3 neo top sheet just would not die. Compared to Friendship, K1, K2, other hybrid rubber, etc. the top sheet is just very tacky with minimal cleaning in between.
R7 is a very good all around tensor rubber. It has been around for a long time. Solid rubber. Yes practice, practice and practice! After you perfect your techniques with R7 if you want to try other rubbers, then you can do so.
I can tell you, to me T05fx, T64fx and T80fx are just too bouncey...
Maybe STN black sheet is better than red sheet? I have tried both. And I like black more than red. A third sheet, black, is not opened. I don't plan to open that sheet though. I am distracted with trying different blades right now.
You are going down the dangerous path of EJ'ing!!!!
More seriously, I have a Rasanter R47, green, not open. So I don't know about the Rasanter series at all. I have played with Rakza 7, Rakza 7 soft, Rakza X and Rakza X soft. They are all great rubbers. Good spin. Good control. Good speed. And...
