I think he did just boost it with 1 layer? Maybe it is good to boost it with one layer so it does not make the sponge too soft? My ESN sheets (EL-S, Rakza 7 soft, Rakza X, etc.) were 2-3 year old. I boosted them with two layers.

Is that the tiny black scissor that has a curvature built into the scissor blade? I cannot use that one. It does not curve the way I want it to each blade and I am afraid of damaging the wood. I use the sharp regular big scissors from Amazon and just cut it away!

TT11 only carries 39 degree H3 neo so I am very familiar with that rubber. It is great! I boosted it all the time though so I don't know how it feels not boosted. But the short game and spin game for H3 are just unmatched by any ESN rubber.

I think the most sold blade is Timo Boll ALC. it is often that the coaches will start a player on Timo Boll ALC and once they are proficient, they will stick with Timo Boll ALC or switch to Viscaria or other Butterfly ALC, ZLC, Super Super ZLC and ultra-topnotch ALC. :) :)

Yes, I use G-1 mostly on my backhand. So I can compare them pretty easily. The 2-3 year old EL-S, after being boosted, still feels more catapulty than my recently opened G-1 sheet.
