  1. Short review of Glayzer 09c

My experience is that Rozena is just as fast as Tenergy. A LOT less spin but speed is almost greater since the grip is less.
  2. Alternative to Nittaku PK50 (and 8-80) ?

H8-80 can also be very heavy. I'd still be using it if it wasn't for the big differences between rubber sheets.
  3. Alternative to Nittaku PK50 (and 8-80) ?

Yeah. Rakza Z. Slightly slower and more linear than PK50 and slightly faster with simliar feeling as 8-80.
  4. What is the technical reason Ma Long and top pros love W968?

The long blade face gives a head heavy blade with sweet spot relatively far a way from the handle (same as the cybershape). Good for forehand oriented players like Ma Long and WCQ (and Moregardh).
  5. I'm cured of EJ disease, but now I am depressed...

It is also possible to prolong the EJ phase with GJ. You found your graal when it comes to playing properties but wouldn’t an anatomic handle make your elbow less sore after practice? And wouldnt a FL handle help you loosen your grip? And a ST handle gives better reach, right?
  6. Viscaria Super ALC

Does the Viscaria SALC have significantly slimmer handle than the FZD ALC?
  7. Harimoto ALC - Dignics 09c

I did try exactly this. Viscaria felt good but slightly fast, got a Harimoto ALC after reading reviews and looking at numbers and... went back to my Viscaria after six months. Why? Well, first of all the actual speed is about the same. Perhaps the HALC is slightly slower in the short game but...
  8. (Humour) New US rubbers

81 and 78 degrees! Like bricks!
  9. New coloured versions of Stiga Mantra Pro (blue, pink, purple)

    Well actually… https://www.dandoy-sports.com/stiga-mantra-pro-m.html
  10. Hammond z2 durability?

Used a sheet for about three months (playing once a week) and it still works fine. Edges slightly tored but there are worse rubbers in that regard. Z2 is more similar to Dignics 05 than Tenergy 05.
  11. New coloured versions of Stiga Mantra Pro (blue, pink, purple)

There was a rubber called Calibra Tour that was kind of weird. A grainy surface with very litte friction.
  12. New coloured versions of Stiga Mantra Pro (blue, pink, purple)

Hope the thinner sponges are released outside Japan as well.
  13. FH Rubber for ALC Blade

As stated before - harder rubbers = easier short game. Softer rubbers = easier open ups.
  14. DHS 301 or Butterfly Innerforce layer alc

Tried Harimoto ALC and 301 ALC for a few months each. Very similar. The handle of the DHS is extremely small though. And it needs to be sealed. But whatever your decision here, it will not make any difference for winning or losing points.
  15. New serve rule 2.6. No hidden balls anymore.

I think it would be good for the sport if the service part of the game were less pronounced so to speak. If reading serves were made easier. I think it would be more rallies and less crying kids.
  16. New serve rule 2.6. No hidden balls anymore.

Or the rule should be changed so that the umpire always can do that. And of course there must be (perhaps already is) rules regarding the placement of umpires.
  17. FH Rubber for ALC Blade

For shortgame I think harder rubbers are easier to handle. Rakza 7 and similar are bouncier.
  18. FH Rubber for ALC Blade

Been playing with tenergy 80, dignics 05 and Nittaku Z2. To me the Z2 is clearly less sensitive to spin and easier for service recieve and such. But it is also slightly harder to generate spin and has a harder over all feel.
  19. New serve rule 2.6. No hidden balls anymore.

The whole body (except maybe legs and head) should be BEHIND the ball. That would be the best rule. Works with one umpire and it wouldn't matter if the players are left- or right handed. It would affect the most common way of serving very much though. But the sport could handle it, I'm sure.
  20. confusing.. bh rubber.. harder faster softer

Softer will be easier to open up and drive for most people. Harder will be easier to use in the short game, service receive etc. People, including myself, tend to test rubbers an decide from the active, full strokes. Nothing wrong with that, it is the fun part of playing, but matchplay, when...
