  1. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

I made comments about it earlier in the thread. It is a ball that gets away from you if you use too much power and is in some ways a leveler for a less powerful player. It also is grippier than Nittaku when new. Nothing you can"t adjust to but I live where most players use Nittaku so I have...

  3. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

Credit to Taiwan. But the real decision point was Kallberg vs Kuo and not Sweden topping the group. Had Japan beaten France, Japan would have topped the group and Taiwan would have been 3rd. Making it sound like it was all in Sweden's hands whether they faced Taiwan is ludicrous.

  7. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

There is a such a thing as should have and it is based on expectation. 5 should beat 25 or whatever. Coton has beaten a lot of good players and even pushed Lin Yun Ju 5 games. Beating Hugo was not outside his range. I get your defense of Hugo and accept it on a basic level, but the bottom...

  11. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

I can't disagree more. There is a significant difference between a top 5 player and a top 25 player usually. Losing 0-3 (the way Hugo did) makes no sense. He should have won at least a game.
  12. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

That is true but if the level difference is as large as reflected in the world ranking. It shouldn't matter. That it does matter shows the level difference is not that large at all.
  13. ITTF WTTTC Finals London 2026, 4/28-5/10

This was a level up from all the players he had played prior in the event, so it isn't just about his form, but about the opposition.

I can't believe I already forgot that lol. That said, it is different when you win the final vs when you have matches to be played after yours.
