  1. WTT Champions Chongqing 2025 - 11-16 Mar 2025

This is true. We will see how it goes. I am just old enough to know what it feels like to have a body that doesn't work like it used to, Younger people who don't have that experience might think WCQ can perform miracles more easily than I can, lol.
  2. WTT Champions Chongqing 2025 - 11-16 Mar 2025

FZD retiring at 27 isn't quite the argument for this that you might think it is, especially if you accept the possibility that the rumors that WCQ is overaged might be true, But even if not, that will give WCQ four years to achieve what he needs to. Do remember that Ma Long required surgery to...
  3. WTT Champions Chongqing 2025 - 11-16 Mar 2025

Ma Long wasn't winning on athleticism and people forget that Ma Long won his first WTTC at the advanced age of 27.
  4. WTT Champions Chongqing 2025 - 11-16 Mar 2025

ML had more versatility than this, this is just king long table tennis and I do not believe it Is sustainable for for more than brief critical periods. I think the contenders (Shidong, Harimoto, LYJ) can take advantage of his lesser days. ML.could still get by with 40% days.
  5. WTT Champions Chongqing 2025 - 11-16 Mar 2025

You have to hope he gets tired, he has taken his fitness to an unreal level.
  6. WTT Champions Chongqing 2025 - 11-16 Mar 2025

Has someone finally matched Ryu for footwork? I was thinking this watching him play Harimoto but it is a real question.
  7. WTT Champions Chongqing 2025 - 11-16 Mar 2025

They play like Women but just a bit further from the table and with much more power.... amazing....

Ma Long is retired. It isn't that serious lol.
  12. WTT Champions Chongqing 2025 - 11-16 Mar 2025

Harimoto has equaled Lin Yun Ju game count from last matchup. But he has actually looked like he is in the rallies for the first time I remember.
  13. WTT Champions Chongqing 2025 - 11-16 Mar 2025

  14. WTT Champions Chongqing 2025 - 11-16 Mar 2025

Poor Wang Manyu. Did Xiao Zhan wreck her this badly?
  15. WTT Champions Chongqing 2025 - 11-16 Mar 2025

The biggest thing is losing the bronze medal match to Dima. But I am more with you than the opposing arguments as much as I understand them. My current position is based on recent matches and not draws or titles so much. But predicting the future of such close things is anyone's guess.
  16. WTT Champions Chongqing 2025 - 11-16 Mar 2025

The fans are going to cause Sun Yingsha depression lol.
  17. WTT Champions Chongqing 2025 - 11-16 Mar 2025

He very much is for me, how many Europeans have beaten Fan Zhendong and Liang Jingkun and Harimoto in the last decade? I don't think Tomo has beaten Alexis before (I was wrong he actually eon their last match). But i understand why you don't think he is (he doesn't have quite the track record...
  18. WTT Champions Chongqing 2025 - 11-16 Mar 2025

Well Tomo will show us something tomorrow. This is really hair splitting so even with Felix and Alexis.
  19. WTT Champions Chongqing 2025 - 11-16 Mar 2025

In fact I would consider Lin Yun Ju more dangerous than Harimoto based on current form, he just needs a break.
  20. WTT Champions Chongqing 2025 - 11-16 Mar 2025

Harimoto also had a draw based partly on seeding that avoided all the Chinese players. So it is less about dominance ans more about whether China can get a player into the #4 slot between now and WTTC. Unlikely but not impossible. And then the draw will be the biggest factor.
