  1. For those who can't cut rubbers, STIGA presents...

You're right. I do think that there are important differences between what tennis players do and what table tennis players do in terms of equipment, but in the end, if you feel confident that someone is building your rackets for you and you play well with them, then it probably saves time. I...
  2. For those who can't cut rubbers, STIGA presents...

You will be surprised - the number of players around me who let third parties put together their setups is surprisingly high. So many good players, especially since speed gluing went away, don't put together their blade. Mind boggling to me but true.
  3. WTT Contender Antalya 2023

Yeah, but it isn't necessarily more meaningful or more exciting to watch. And Felix and Dima compete favorably at that speed when their games are on, so I am okay with the comparison.
  4. WTT Contender Antalya 2023

Takkyu brought this up and I agree, I just tend to separate the men and the women's games. And I could take the Asian Games match with Hayata-WYD as well. Not as prolonged a final set but very dramatic and historic as well.
  5. Tibhar Force Pro Blue (Why are Stiff blades better for short pimples?)

With the plastic ball, I suspect they have made almost everything slightly faster.
  6. WTT Contender Antalya 2023

This is the other match that qualifies for me. I wasn't really intrigued by Ma Long FZD at the Asian Champs but everyone is different for sure.
  7. WTT Contender Antalya 2023

I usually don't mix the sexes with these awards but I can accept that, either of the two matches as a matter of fact.
  8. For those who can't cut rubbers, STIGA presents...

Doing so will just make it clearer that there isn't much special about the shape and that it only sells blades that have good composition already.
  9. WTT Contender Antalya 2023

I was hoping you would cite your match of the year contender.
  10. WTT Contender Antalya 2023

Ah okay, I thought that Sweden had somehow had a large tour event in addition to hosting the Euros and the feeders with some money of which I was unaware. And a tour event had happened that I somehow didn't watch.
  11. Need advice: how to transform qualities from training to match play

It does take long - the hours matter. One of the things about table tennis that caused frustration with players who don't have experience training and improving over long periods is they underestimate how long it can take to develop a skill to the point it becomes a weapon against the level of...
  12. WTT Contender Antalya 2023

Continental points may not count as tour points.
  13. Need advice: how to transform qualities from training to match play

The thing is that there are a lot of things that could cause this problem. A lot. I will give one that hasn't been already mentioned. Sometimes, the grip with which you play your backhand in practice may not end up being the grip you use in matches because your transition from serve to...
  14. WTT Contender Antalya 2023

I did (since I don't remember which ones you were talking about). I will remember this one, though. A 17 year old blooming vs an all time great. Reminds me of the European Games final. But to be fair, the Asian Games blocked youtube splicing of all their matches so I have not had a chance...
  15. WTT Contender Antalya 2023

Which Contender did Sweden host this year?
  16. WTT Contender Antalya 2023

    Match of the year!
  17. MX-D vs Tenergy 05 Hard

Reading that review makes me want to try MX-D. EJing is dangerous lol!
  18. MX-D vs Tenergy 05 Hard

He doesn't rate them similarly at all - interesting.
  19. Head shape of a blade: Does it matter?

It affects balance and sweet spot size depending on your preferred hitting area. That said, all these things are not as important as your skills.
  20. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Do it over large distances on the floor using proper form or on the bed first. Then take it to the table.
