  1. World Team Cup 2019

Your opinion is yours. You can see in slow motion that the contact is often not visible to the returner and it Is worse for a lefty. It makes the sport look silly when someone is serving as cleanly as Boll is and is unable to return Yoshimura when he is serving behind the head and is forced to...
  2. World Team Cup 2019

This is a huge win for Japan. Far bigger than even placing second would have given them.
  3. World Team Cup 2019

He has to beat Harimoto here to make that possible.
  4. World Team Cup 2019

The same way Boll usually endures it - fighting through the cheating. But Boll has always struggled against what Yoshimura does.
  5. World Team Cup 2019

Will Boll survive this hidden service attack? Yoshimura serves everything behind his head.
  6. World Team Cup 2019

You mean you have not heard the "Kanak is not a top 50 player " crowd repeatedly say that without focusing on the positives in his game? It saddens me that the US has a player that good and that they won't even stand up for him even if he is clearly overrated because of continental rating...
  7. World Team Cup 2019

Kanak missed the training session with China because of league responsibilities in Europe. That explains it!
  8. World Team Cup 2019

Yep. Korea won the group. Go USA! Kanak gives another middle finger to all the haters.
  9. World Team Cup 2019

No. England is out in that scenario. Try again. If 3-1, it comes to game scores.
  10. World Team Cup 2019

Yes. This reminds us why Mizutani is still the greatest Japanese TT player of all time (okay modern era and stuff like that).
  11. World Team Cup 2019

He was up if Niwa won. One team gets its top player in earlier than the other.
  12. Japan Women's Race to Tokyo 2020 Singles

I think the desire to have Hayata is leading us to construct too many narratives that keep her in the mix. Is there really a good reason not to field Hayata in Team World Cup if it is a realistic possibility? The conservative nature of the JNT selections is the consistent thread. Expectations...
  13. Japan Women's Race to Tokyo 2020 Singles

Thanks and my point exactly. Selecting Sato for this World Teams shows how conservative the JNT is despite our desires.
  14. Japan Women's Race to Tokyo 2020 Singles

The Same reason the JTTA would. Higher world ranking. The 4th spot is largely a bonus and giving it to someone who doesn't clearly merit it has implications.
  15. Japan Women's Race to Tokyo 2020 Singles

You are acting as if JNT prefers to use discretion rather than follow rules. Why is Sato at the world team cuo?
  16. Japan Women's Race to Tokyo 2020 Singles

She has to overtake Sato and Kato to merit it.
  17. Dwell time

Honestly it comes down to what you are trying to do. TTgearlab is an interesting blog and there he argues that there is a concept of holding the ball based on the difference between the regular rebound of a blade and the central rebound. Maybe you want blades that hold the ball according go...

Body is okay. I have lost a lot of weight so that has made most things easier but the arthritis and historical damage don't help. I plan to continue trying to lose weight and to see how far I can go with it.
  19. Tibhar MX-K H and MX-K M

I use 2.1mm. And yes, VR. VK is great but I need to get faster equipment. The Mazunov is fast but a bit heavy so I am trying to find the right balance. I like the 5 ply concept though.

I just won the U2000 at Princeton today with those rubbers. Unfortunately I will also go down in history as a sandbagger as I lost my first match to a 1600 youngster and lost 50 pts in the process. Had some tough matches though.
