  1. Boosting my H3Neo with baby oil and noticed this

I noticed diagonal ridges on the sponge of my brand new H3Neo after a layer of baby oil. The ridges are not exactly vertical, rather slanted slightly. Can anyone help me identify what these are?
  2. As of today, there is exactly one degree of separation between my paddle and LGL

Interesting story, LGL's wife and little daughter showed up at the club I happen to attend today. She is a Chinese penhold player, and my paddle being the only one with Chinese rubbers, I let her borrow it. I did not take any pictures, as I tried hard not to be a creeper. The story behind why...
  3. Boosted rubber won't un-dome

So it has been a few weeks since i boosted my big dippers with baby oil and they won't stick to the paddle. The weather in texas has been on the cold end and I leave my rubbers in the garage to dry, so I'm wondering if that has anything to do with it. Or, do I need to apply oil to the topsheets...
  4. So many Yinhe blades, how do I even!

First, I'm looking for a cheap setup to experiment with (a mid distance looping+ blade). I see the Yinhe E-3 and E-3 VB (cpen) going for $20 to $30 (US) on AliExpress and would like some feedback about the E series. E-3 is cheaper and thinner (~5.7), where as VB is slightly thicker (~6). I...
  5. Restoring warped 40+ plastic balls.

So I ran into this problem where I left my tt bag in my car out in the texas sun, and my xushaofa 3 star seamless ball warped under pressure. I was able to restore it nearly completely by immersing it in hot hot hot water under a minute or so (not too long). After fishing it out of my hot water...
  6. Rallies

Is it just me or does there appear to be a significant drop in the quality/quantity of high speed rallies? I understand the growing pains and the acclamation process will take time (the new poly balls are extremely lacking in quality and most of the equipment was geared towards the celluloid...
  7. Is the stiga intensity NCT worth it?

I'm looking for a fast cpen blade for mid distance looping. How does this blade differ from the YEO and the offensive NCT?
  8. Should I dish $20 and try the (fake)TG3 blue sponge?

The dealer has verified (obviously for that price) that the TG3 blue sponge is fake, but states the quality of the rubber is still quite good. I'm currently plyaing with the TG3 neo. Has anyone tried this rubber? Will the performance be on par with the TG3 neo? I've heard the Big Dipper is...
  9. YEO7P, TG3 neo (39) and 729 cream transcend

So after trying mars 2, moon and focus 3 snipe for my RPB backhand on a YEO blade, I've come to the conclusion that I enjoy high spin rubbers over high speed. (I've tried neo H3 and TG3 2.2/39 on my forehand, and again, I enjoyed the TG3 more). I particularly liked the mild tack the moon had...
  10. I'm not saying it, but I'm thinking it.

IMHO FZD may have used steroids. Comparing his built to Dima's, his waist, legs and jawline seem unnatural developed for a TT player (a 15 yr old at that...and not to mention that power). I'm not to saying it's impossible for him to be completely natural (kinda like a Lebron James), but it...
  11. Article on regulating blades.

http://tabletennis.about.com/od/rules/a/Racket-Control.htm Is it just me, or this a really, really horrible idea? I consider the argument regarding boosting flawed, since the author is assuming all rubbers perform best when boosted, and that it is technologically impossible for manufacturers to...
