  1. What oils can be used as boosters?

Remember to use consummate vs when applying booster to the sponge
  2. What oils can be used as boosters?

I think you would be hard pressed to find a chinese rubber that can be boosted to compete with the likes of high end euro rubbers like rakza/tenergy. It is also why you have the hungarian/chinese style loop vs the european style, as all top tier chinese players play with boosted chinese rubbers...
  3. What oils can be used as boosters?

LOL H_F I haven't forgotten to respond to your question. I'm currently boosting two more rubbers and I have been taking pics of the entire process. I intend to post the complete process with steps in Dan's original post on boosting. The above pics of the boosted BD is the result of 1 thin layer...
  4. What oils can be used as boosters?

I found the yinhe jupiter (factory tuned) to perform at about 70%-80% of the rakza 7, though the rakza 7/soft seemed to have ridiculously high gears. Speaking of boosting big dippers, I too am in the process (sticking to the baby oil I am) They havent undomed yet. Will keep you posted (the blue...
  5. Boosting DHS H3 Neo with Bio Booster TRF

If you havent boosted before, apply a thin layer of glue first. It will prevent the sponge from getting saturated and ruined if you mess up. With enough practice you should get an idea of how much booster to apply to a particular rubber without ruining it.
  6. Which Rubbers & Blades Do Pros Use?

I shall continue to look for cheap yinhe knockoff underwear that will provide 80% performance of the real mccoy.
  7. Ma Long's excessive World Cup celebration causes injury!

Not if he is tired and exhausted and riding the adrenaline rush. A lot of these players push themselves to the brink of breaking point. Its not uncommon for them to tip over once in a while?
  8. Which Rubbers & Blades Do Pros Use?

Agreed, nothing wrong with the question you asked, nor anything wrong with lighthearted trolling. But as I mentioned, the information and much more is available on wikipedia and many forums elsewhere. (There is even a thread dedicated to the equipment the pros use that is updated regularly on...
  9. Which Rubbers & Blades Do Pros Use?

Sorry playa, we do get a bit carried away when having fun. To be fair, your question is easily google-able. Even wikipedia contains this the infomation you seek. If you are geniunely curious and are seeking sound/solid advice from the more experienced/knowledgeable players on thus forum, then...
  10. What oils can be used as boosters?

I'm inclined to think your original layer of sesame oil did seep through, as you had waited quite a while before taking it off. The sesame oil may be preventing the baby oil from taking complete effect, or impacting it negatively in some other way. You did say the result with the rasant was...
  11. How to remove Glue from Sponge

With very old glue, rubbing rigorously with your fingers essentially works the same way, but can cause heat blisters! The heat due to friction from the repeated rubbing causes the glue to lose its stick, turn dark and clump. I discovered heat to be the best solution, this method seams less...
  12. What oils can be used as boosters?

Thin layer of glue first! The only reason i can think of the reverse dome getting stronger is the oil reacting with the wbg? Caused it to clump maybe?
  13. What oils can be used as boosters?

Very interesting Carl. In my experience the 39 degrees was a little too soft for me after 2 layers of baby oil (but still spinny and thoroughly enjoyable). I suppose I prefer them a little harder (thats what she said?) as I like to swing full force at everything. Did the 38 deg boosted retain a...
  14. What oils can be used as boosters?

Looking forward to hearing about your before/after boosting play experience
  15. What oils can be used as boosters?

Looks good. Can you arc the rubber horizontally instead of vertically and upload another picture? I am curious to see how heavy the dome is along the horizontal line, since that is the common technique for attaching the rubber to the paddle. If it is dry then you can resume gluing. I test how...
  16. What oils can be used as boosters?

Will it expand the topsheet? I boosted my friends old rubbers, but im wondering if there is a way to rejuv the topsheet. I just dont want the tensor effect to fade.
  17. What oils can be used as boosters?

I did apply the glue first... always apply the glue, the above picture was right after a second coat, so it had been 2 days. (See my thumb print on the first pic? lol). If you dont apply glue and u use a liberal layer of oil, you def risk the topsheet separating from the sponge. (Ive read on...
  18. What oils can be used as boosters?

If the rubber isn't doming excessively, it wont hurt to try to glue it on. If the rubber doesn't stick around the edges and keeps lifting despite the glue, stick a stack of books on the blade and leave it for another 2 days or so. Or, wait another day before you stick it on, either way the...
  19. What oils can be used as boosters?

Def wait 12 to 24 hours before your next layer. It takes a while for the oil to take effect, especially if you had a layer of WBG first (so patience is key). I followed the steps outlined in this vid, but with baby oil instead of booster. My first layer took about 12 hours to show any effect...
  20. What oils can be used as boosters?

Did it dome? How liberal were you...Like Hollywood liberal? Doesn't it smell nice?
