  1. Teaching an absolute beginner how to play

Use shadow practice to establish body position and footwork and very slow multiball to develop the strokes. If he can I can recommend just to bounce a ball 100 times on his racket, both sides, and play against a wall, it's very effective to develop ball feel at home without a partner and at a...
  2. WTT Star Contender Ljubljana 2026 June 16-21

I am rooting for Togami to finally earn a gold. I think he has the potential to beat anybody in this semifinal, there are no particularly bad matchups for him.
  3. The Pro's Equipment - Discussion!

    Such an interesting player.
  4. WTT Star Contender Ljubljana 2026 June 16-21

Japanese doubles work well it seems. Togami is on fire and they fit well with Hiroto Shinozuka.
  5. WTT Star Contender Ljubljana 2026 June 16-21

I think his pride wouldn't let him not give his full effort. Love him, but his ego is huge.
  6. WTT Star Contender Ljubljana 2026 June 16-21

Fang Bo's serve game is amazing. But the receives, especially the backhand flick were way too inconsistent. Wang Yang lost to Narajo. He started attacking way too late, he does this every time. Despite being a defender he somehow lacks the mental awareness. And András Csaba lost to Yuan Licen in...
  7. WTT Contender Zagreb 2026 June 9-14

I am sad for Odo, Miwa dismantled her. I think she had a bad day, she had multiple brain freezes and many unforced errors.
  8. Backhand modern weight transfer technique: loading on dominant leg. What do you think or prefer?

I remember Kenji Matsudaira made a video where he was experimenting with left vs right leg dominant backhands and his conclusion was that "it depends on the ball". I can't find the video, but it was in japanese, maybe on his own channel.
  9. Impact of edge tape on vibrations

Scientifically, I don't think it should be much, but I swear I feel a dampening...so I only tape half the blade and then it's fine.
  10. WTT Contender Zagreb 2026 June 9-14

Yeah, it was definitely hidden and the root of why he lost. That being said, I feel like if he is confident he could've dealt with it, but instead he blanked out, he was very predictable in the last set and made bad decisions.
  11. WTT Contender Zagreb 2026 June 9-14

He himself said that he needs probably a year to get back in form.
  12. Hungary had a prodigy...

WTT Zagrab: She got Zhu Sibing in the first round, which was probably the worst draw she could've got, even Manika Batra would have been better, as one of her teammates (Minhyung Jee) is an OX pips player. She played very well in the first set, but Zhu Sibing switched her chops to sidespin and...
  13. Hungary had a prodigy...

Lizett training with Chen Yi in the WTT hall (they've got an invitation to train an hour with her):
  14. DHS Skyline serie, TG2 and TG3

I started playing with a TG2 neo on my FH. It was extremely tacky and spinny, but hard as a brick. I've tried an used sheet later and found it too slow and low throw, but it might be because it was already worn, not boosted and on a stiff blade. Ma Lin used it I found that it works the best when...
  15. How do you use AI in table tennis?

how is pinghero? is it any good?
  16. Hybrid suggestions for someone coming from H3

Rakza Z in my experience is a very safe, quite spinny rubber, but it's lacking in the high gears. If you don't want to finish the rally early it might be good, but maybe the EH version? V>15 Sticky is definitely spinnier and faster, overall an amazing rubber but I've heard that it's short lived.
  17. WTT Contendor Skopje 2026 (1 - 7 June 2026)

Anyone knows what was that "don't put too much spin on the ball" by the umpire?
  18. Technique for old folks

I am not sure, maybe we can try. First keeping the movements short and light will be the way together with conditioning.
