  1. Do you make notes on your opponents?

In my mind I have notes, but because I only meet twice with the opponent in the league, I don't even bother. So I have tactics against the clubmates, but I like to just try practicing my technique and win with superior technique not with using the opponents weaknesses. For example I will use a...
  2. Similar Rubbers to Tenergy 05 FX

Just take any of the latest tensors in a similar hardness. It will do the work. All pretty good, but all feels different.
  3. Table Tennis vs Ping Pong - Should Table Tennis take note from Ping Pong?

Have you seen the Ping Pong European Champs?
  4. In pai

I guess you're coming from emrath's videos. In pai is a quite clear concept: you have to follow the incoming ball from the beginning in order to prepare for the loop in time. More simply: move your whole body when the ball is coming and don't just stare at it :) How do you prepare for the...
  5. What are the unwritten rules of table tennis?

Interesting. These are applying during matchplays too? Like in a league? As I said, we offer a replay for everything and trust in the other player that he will only accept it when it really disturbed him. During training matches too.
  6. What are the unwritten rules of table tennis?

If someone puts his hand up, then the point should be replayed. Even if the umpire decides that it wasn't a let ball, the scorer should give back the point. Not doing so is rude. Also, when a ball comes to the court, or something disturbing happens, the point should be stopped and replayed. If...
  7. New Equipment 2017

I've only read the review briefly, but it sounds promising. Omega VII might take the place of MX-P? The price is higher, so I don't think so.
  8. Fibreglass blades and materials

I am using a textreme blade. Textreme is fibreglass covered with aluminium. It's has good power and flexibility, yet it has a woody feel. I've read in hungarian forum, that it's easier to make good blades with fibreglass than carbon at home. According to them it isn't that dependant on the...
  9. Slow down a blade or speed up the rubbers?

In short: both might work for you :)
  10. Slow down a blade or speed up the rubbers?

For a beginner, slower blade with medium rubbers, otherwise it's just personal preference. (edit: I wasn't aware this being a necroed thread, sorry.)
  11. DHS Hurricane NEO 3 tune

It's seems they aren't that expensive, sorry for the misinterpretation.
  12. DHS Hurricane NEO 3 tune

Falco Tempo Long is quite cheap and widely used booster. There are betters for chinese rubbers from china, but I don't think it's necessary for anyone below semi-pro level and they are expensive. Here is a few name: Kailin oil, Haifu Seamoon, Dianchi oil.
  13. Katsura core properties

Just looking at a few sites it seems there is a high diversity between the properties, so you have to find reviews about the specific blades. Sorry I couldn't help you. You can experiment with it, or find other more common 1ply blades.
  14. Katsura core properties

Try to find a wood with similar characteristics (density, hardness etc..)
  15. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

The child of my coach practiced on the next table with his mother (both parents are TT players). He is 7 years old. They counted the forehand drives during warmup. These were normal FH drives, not pro player fast but they had a decent speed and they weren't high...
  16. Zhang Jike using Tenergy 05 on the forehand!

I don't think so. Surely not a directive, but it might be a new contract. But I still don't think this is the case.
  17. Doubles - You are Weaker Player - How do You Play?

I didn't read the article, but here are a few tips: -Don't try to do nice dropshots/short pushes. Just push with spin to the middle. It will be looped, but it's not as dangerous as risk an incoming flipkill or a push into the net. -For right handed players: if the opponents use sidespin serves...
  18. Zhang Jike using Tenergy 05 on the forehand!

  19. The most aesthetically pleasing serve for you?

Most pro players' serve somehow seems harmonic to me. Even Par Gerrel's. I would say, Fang Bo's serves look very natural for me. When we are speaking about good serves, Wang Hao never appears. I recently watched this video and I am amazed how deceptive his serves are:
  20. Zhang Jike using Tenergy 05 on the forehand!

Yeah he gave some of his rubbers to a kid. Other CNT players give off their rubbers more often, that was the first recorded time ZJK gave off his rubbers.
