  1. Has anyone tried out the Tibhar Nimbus Delta S and Delta V rubbers?

You are right in general, what made me to not recommend Delta V is the price. Too high for a 'good blocking rubber which can be used to attack, but not so good.' For that price you can buy very good rubbers, not just average good ones. And yes, I hit with Nimbus around 2-4 shots, but that and my...
  2. Has anyone tried out the Tibhar Nimbus Delta S and Delta V rubbers?

I suppose you know the normal Nimbus. I've heard that Delta V is a little bit faster, feels a little bit harder and overall better. But it's still a learning rubber: soft, medium speed, good control, not so good spin. It would be a development after Focus 3 Snipe, but I would choose the Rakza...

Rubber rejuvenator is exellent on shoes! :D But seriously...it's good! Hungarian forums recommend the use of it. First clean the shoe, then use 5-10 droplets of rejuvenator (revolution No.3 bio cleaner and rejuvenator) and scrub it!
  4. Looking for advice (mainly on equipment)

Advice on technique: try to stay a little lower! Lower weight centre makes you more stable. This is the first match what comes to my mind: EDIT: You start your shot from low enough, but you transfer the weight more upward instead of forward. Against topspin movement is always forward.

There is a video where Istvan Korpa (germany's ex-head coach) explain the differences between chinese and european multiball drills. He found shorter intense multiball drills more effective. In hungary coaches also taught to use shorter drills, maximum 10 balls. The reasons are: 1. He prefer to...
  6. Review of the STIGA Genesis Rubber

What about durability? Chinese like rubbers are usually good, but who knows?
  7. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

When I misread a floating ball and miss the table my coach always says: contact at the top of the ball! Spin it, don't just hit!
  8. How to defend

Songdavid98 wrote most of crucial informations except chopping. Probably when you said defender you mean chopper. At first inverted rubber will be good, even better than pips, because you can learn about spin more than with longpips or classical shortpips. But if you really want to be a chopper...
  9. Table Tennis Fantasy League based on Champions League

I count this as an 'I am in'. Not sure if you are just kidding or not, so it's totally free, but you won't get a prize.
  10. Fan Zhendong's Equipment

Just to show the differences between pro equipment and commercial: I've heard this in a U18 tournament last week, someone's relate, who is also a tt player (pro player) said that to his phone: 'My rubber is damaged, I need a new one...yes, but tell him not to send me a 05, but a 06...yes...if...
  11. Table Tennis Fantasy League based on Champions League

Hi everyone, I want to create a Fantasy League based on Champions League. If you want to participate write a comment below. It will use a DRAFT system, not just pick a team. Members will choose players in random order. I will use Random.org's list randomizer for this. Players will gain points...
  12. German League 2016/2017

A drafting system would be good in table tennis. At least in one league. Timo would be the first pick for sure (of course between these players), but who would be the second? Maybe Wang Xi?
  13. More spin in service

    Loose.
  14. How do you banana flick?

He means that your stroke starts from too high. Which isn't a problem if the ball is dead and high enough, but against sidespin/backspin ball you need to start the stroke from near the table's level.
  15. Cho!

It's really doesn't matter what was it's original meaning. It's for increasing self-confidence. I've heard cho, choo, chole, cholle, yo, yoo, yole, chosa, choei, yolei, chuu, cholee, choy. Not everyone uses the same battlecry, these are just alternate versions of cho without meaning. Or...
  16. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Today Lev Katsman (EU Youth Champs singles 3rd, mixed doubles 1st) came to my club for training. Our best youth player played 1-4 with him. Maybe tomorrow I also can have a chance.
  17. Rio Olympics 2016 (Team Event)

Of course nobody, but ZJK likes to loop more in a row against defenders than ML. I've never seen XX against a chopper.
  18. Rio Olympics 2016 (Team Event)

Actually, Ma Long doesn't use pure power against defenders. Who are you talking about is ZJK. It's pretty usual to push back a chop from Ma.
  19. Pick your team to beat the CNT

Mizutani is the only must have player in such a team. He can stand against ZJK as well as XX if he play like against Ma Long in singles. If we are VERY lucky, he can beat both and then we just have to find the greatest double players. Now I would say Morizono + Oshima. I miss the Kenta + Niwa...
