  1. WTT Star Contender Chennai-2025

I won't say it is the only reason but it certainly didn't help that she has been caught in the middle of a full-blown mutiny against the coach occurring with her team throughout the season. I hinted at it in the MLTT thread but it came to a head publicly last weekend. That being said, she also...
  2. Anders Lind “get a professional racket ASAP”

Gatekeeping other people's equipment choices is very very important!!!
  3. Anders Lind “get a professional racket ASAP”

TTD has it's mind made up on this topic so I'm not even going to bother anymore haha.
  4. All Club Level Players need to know the stuff in this video

Historically yes but currently I wouldn't say Madrid is miles ahead of Rogelio Castro.
  5. All Club Level Players need to know the stuff in this video

What you should have learned from this video is that a man who retired from serious training 20+ years ago and appears to be playing purely for hobby now, loses a lot of his former level. Which should be obvious but...
  6. All Club Level Players need to know the stuff in this video

When you say you never really lose it even after a year of no training or more, what is the "it" you are referring to? Ability to forehand loop when the ball is being placed to one spot? Random drills? Full matchplay sharpness?
  7. All Club Level Players need to know the stuff in this video

Most people find it easier to move in when caught off guard and when you have little time, but maybe the reverse is easier for Heming and some other people. Would be nice if he comes back to comment more though he probably has been scared off already lol
  8. Major League Table Tennis (MLTT)

@NextLevel I probably spam this thread a bit and just post whenever something comes to mind so this probably got buried
  9. All Club Level Players need to know the stuff in this video

Many top players and coaches I know who have spoken on this topic are on the side of waiting for the long serve and moving in if it is short, so it is an interesting opinion especially when expressed as absolute truth rather than a personal preference. Not saying it is wrong but I don't think...
  10. Major League Table Tennis (MLTT)

    Would discuss this over PM
  11. Major League Table Tennis (MLTT)

No Princeton miracle, so it goes as expected. Bay Area will need two free agents and almost certainly lose the semi final to Carolina. Bay Chicago and Texas will all be fighting for the free agent women so expect to see Jessica Reyes Lai and Tiffany Ke to make appearances again. Carolina...
  12. All Club Level Players need to know the stuff in this video

What I was trying to say in an earlier comment but you said it better lol
  13. All Club Level Players need to know the stuff in this video

Maybe in 2003 you only needed to be 2300 USATT level to reach #3 in Mexico. Maybe Heming thinks that. I don't know but I would bet not. I think this point has been discussed enough though - as I said I saw that as the way Heming talks if you watch enough of his videos rather than a serious claim...
  14. All Club Level Players need to know the stuff in this video

This seems to be the key point everyone is missing. The exact premise of the video he states at the beginning is how to beat players one or two levels higher than you...
  15. All Club Level Players need to know the stuff in this video

Sure, I agree with that. But then he proceeds to totally skip over the part where he says you might not know what to do with the receive you get after serving short to FH, which is where the value would be for someone who is probably not acing people with short FH serves.
  16. All Club Level Players need to know the stuff in this video

How many simple tactics do you think a 2500 player (formerly probably a bit higher) could choose from to beat a roughly 2100 player? And how applicable and useful is that tactic to an amateur player that doesn't have Heming's skillset to execute with, who is trying to beat someone a level or two...
  17. All Club Level Players need to know the stuff in this video

A few comments: The opponent in the video was probably a much better player than 2300 when he was seriously training in his prime. 2300 doesn't reflect the level of a top player from Mexico. In this video, I don't even think he is 2300 currently but that doesn't really matter. Currently...
  18. Major League Table Tennis (MLTT)

They will and we are probably thinking of the same two players (well, actually 3)
  19. Major League Table Tennis (MLTT)

Yup, they will also be able to have first picks from the top players once the full draft starts I believe, and there are some very good players already in the draft
  20. Build your perfect WTT player

It's not his backhand that gave him that name...
