  1. What Are Hybrid Table Tennis Rubbers and Why Are They So Popular Nowadays?

Yinhe Saturn S1 is a new contender here, I'll let you know how it feels when I've glued it in a few weeks time. It's going to replace Big Dipper 5.
  2. Looking for Limba Outer Carbon

I'm 54 and have not been playing for long, so I've been using a Palio R57 at 75 grams for the training sessions after the summer break. It seems better than the Yasaka Sweden Extra that I used from april to July. It's not as fast as an outer carbon blade though.
  3. YINHE SATURN S1

    That sounds nice.
  4. YINHE SATURN S1

It was around 14$ or 12€ if you prefer that. If it's good I hope to buy more in the 11.11. sale.
  5. YINHE SATURN S1

I should have my rubber in the coming week, but perhaps I'll wait a few weeks before I mount it.
  6. YINHE SATURN S1

It's on sale at HWsport on Aliexpress now, so I just ordered to sheets.
  7. YINHE SATURN S1

It was however very hot and humid in the TT hall that day.
  8. YINHE SATURN S1

I didn't like the topsheet of the Moon 12 M- when I tested last week on the backhand. I will try it on the forehand next week.
  9. YINHE SATURN S1

I think I would like to try this rubber, I just wonder how hard the M+ and the H- is supposed to be? Edit perhaps it's something like 37°and 39° DHS.
  10. Yinhe Big Dipper 5 Review: A Budget No-Boost Alternative to Hurricane 3 Neo with Some Tradeoffs

It did indeed feel very dead, and I think that I had developed a BH-technique with the BD V 39 where I brushed very much and that didn't work with the Moon 12 blue so I need to hit more direct.
  11. Yinhe Big Dipper 5 Review: A Budget No-Boost Alternative to Hurricane 3 Neo with Some Tradeoffs

The 39 is very hard for backhand use, I just changed to Moon Blue 12 medium-, but I must admit that I didn't like it much in the first test. I guess I'll try the Hurricane 8-80 next.
  12. YINHE SATURN S1

It says Aliexpress in the post ;)
  13. Post your latest EJ purchase

I just got a Palio R57 blade (the surface looks really nice BTW) and 2 Moon 12 M- rubbers and a black Mercury II rubber delivered from aliexpress. I have the Yinhe Big Dipper V 39° on my backhand now which is way to hard even though I can make an occasional desperate winner ;) So I need the...
  14. Best F/H short pimple rubber

I'm contemplating a short pip forehand too and these threads seem to have the same answers. So you can add Spinlord Waran, Friendship 802 SP and Friendship 802-40 (Mystery III) and Yinhe Saturn Pro. The Friendship ones seems to be the default recommendation. ttdd.de have some rather detailed...
  15. Best budget rubber for BH?

    Not exactly budget though.
  16. Help needed for a FH rubber

I have Big Dipper V on my forehand too, but my forehand is not good so I'm trying Mercury II now, if that doesn't work I might be tempted to try NUZN 48. I'm 54 and just started playing after 30 years and my forehand is not so good so I actually think I need some help from the rubber.
  17. SDC Handmade Blades

What about a single layer as the core? I have been contemplating such a blade.
  18. Is table tennis THE hardest sport to go professional in?

Calculus is the way, I must say as a theologian.
  19. Yinhe Big Dipper 5 Review: A Budget No-Boost Alternative to Hurricane 3 Neo with Some Tradeoffs

For me as low end intermediate it's seems a way to hard for the backhand in hardness 39 (good for blocking though), and I think I need to brush more on the forehand. But I just started again after 30+ years and need to develop my forehand as I have mostly used my backhand back in the days. It...
  20. What do professional table tennis players eat?

I better just eat my words again then ;)
