  1. Does anybody know how the Garaydia ALC performs?

Sorry, what I meant was that for "when taking all of the shots into consideration", the VS Unlimited was better. It's definitely an attacking blade - It's pretty quick! I'll be reviewing the Harimoto blade next week hopefully!
  2. Does anybody know how the Garaydia ALC performs?

The VS Unlimited is my favourite blade so far (as an all around blade). It's not as good at looping as the Garaydia, but it's better in the short to mid game for me. I've bought the Harimoto ALC, which I'm hoping will be my "holy grail" of blades, and I won't need to change again!
  3. Does anybody know how the Garaydia ALC performs?

Well, this all depends on your level - Do you have any video anywhere? I personally own the Garaydia ZLC, but have also hit quite a bit with the Garaydia ALC. For loops and away from the table play - I love the ZLC version. It offers a bit more pop, and is one of the best looping blades...
  4. typical semi-beginner questions

Hey Andre, Great to hear you had a good experience at your first club! It's so hard to know what's best and who to listen to. A forum full of random people on the internet who may, or may not know what they are talking about. Or an older gentleman whose been around the sport for years...
  5. New Butterfly rubber "Dignics 05" 2019

On average, 9 hours per week.
  6. Exhibition Fight with Timo Boll, Evgueni Chtchetinine and others

That is awesome! Did you have a look at Timo's bat to see what he was using??
  7. New Butterfly rubber "Dignics 05" 2019

The price is always a difficult one - A lot of people already think Tenergy is too expensive in comparison to others. I use it because I find the longevity to be the best, and therefore the "cost per week" is about the same as a cheaper rubber that doesn't last as long (yet I get the benefits...
  8. New Butterfly rubber "Dignics 05" 2019

This is why it's so hard to compare opinions - I personally would vote for rough ratings, and any interesting pieces of information to be visible when we post..... For you, it would be "I'm happy to spend $105 per month on my forehand rubber". That's not meant to be negative, and it's great...
  9. New Butterfly rubber "Dignics 05" 2019

Hey Duke, I'm not disputing you feel a difference - Be that genuine or a mental illusion of new equipment. Generally, people who spend a lot of money on things will try and justify their purchase once they've got it - I've been there and done that, and will no doubt continue to do so in the...
  10. New here in London

There are very few dedicated Table Tennis clubs like this - Quite simply, they don't make money. All the clubs that play in the leagues book their venue for a few hours in the evening usually (7pm till 10:30pm). They'll also only book the hall once or twice per week. We have very few...
  11. New Butterfly rubber "Dignics 05" 2019

I mainly hit on the forehand - But I personally don't put too much value into the whole forehand/backhand rubber - Especially with Tenergy. I might be alone here, but the differences between T05, T05 Hard and Dignics are incredibly minor. If you have a decent attacking stroke on both wings...
  12. New Butterfly rubber "Dignics 05" 2019

Had a quick hit with it tonight. Hard to give an accurate report, as it was on a blade I’d never used before. Dignics felt very similar to T05 Hard. The only difference I felt was that the sponge felt.... thicker. Like you could hit the ball harder and not worry about the sponge too much...
  13. England Grand Prix Wolverhampton

    I heard Sam Mabey won.
  14. New Butterfly rubber "Dignics 05" 2019

I think someone like Dan is in a far better position to give a review compared with the guy in the video. I still take online reviews with a pinch of salt, because everyone has different feeling for the ball - One person might think something is soft, the other hard etc etc. You also never see...
  15. New Butterfly rubber "Dignics 05" 2019

Nice! I wonder if Butterfly actually have the blade? I've seen it in the Asian shops (Japan at least), but it's been delayed to the 10th April for Europe (even on the Butterfly official shop).
  16. Butterfly Viscaria Golden

I asked the same thing here.... https://www.tabletennisdaily.com/forum/showthread.php?20264-For-sale-Top-equipment&highlight=viscaria+golden
  17. New Butterfly rubber "Dignics 05" 2019

Always love to see everyday people put videos up on YouTube, but if you are looking for genuinely useful feedback, you'd have to wait for an actual high level reviewer to put a video on (like Dan). Meaning no offence to the guy in the video - But I don't think his level is really going to be...
  18. Help post about table tennis double service tricks and strategy???

So, if I'm understanding correctly..... You want to know a serve that will result in your opponent returning the serve to your partners forehand or backhand (depending on what save you do)? I mean.... They'd have to be fairly below average players to do this. But, if they are.... It's all...
  19. Help post about table tennis double service tricks and strategy???

Hi Ahammed, That's a question that doesn't really have 1 answer. If the person receiving serve really wants to receive on their backhand, they can stand where they will hit a backhand every time. Likewise, it's the same with the forehand - If they really want to play a forehand, they will do...
  20. typical semi-beginner questions

Hey Andre, Where about's (roughly) are you in the UK? There will undoubtedly be a few clubs in your area where you could go and practice/play (with your work friends as well). The leagues are crying out for more people, so if you were looking to play a bit more seriously (it's still friendly)...
