  1. Revolution No.3 Cleaner makes the topsheet tacky?

exactly this one. i used it first some years before i played hybrid rubbers. i think i didn’t noticed the light takiness before because i also did not had these protective foils at the time. but now i would say it makes the rubber the same tacky as a modern hybrid.
  2. Revolution No.3 Cleaner makes the topsheet tacky?

hey everyone, as stated in the title i recently noticed that my old rubber cleaner by revolution (bio cleaner & rejuvenator) actually makes my rubbers tacky! i didn’t used it for many years and recently my other cleaner got empty and i had no time to buy a new one, so i used the revolution...
  3. Looking for feedback in my FH loop

good advice, would second both post! especially the service one!
  4. New Xiom Blades Series: Hugo Calderano and Lee Seungsoo (TMX / ALX)

from where do you base this on? a lot of people who had contact with hugo say that he uses HAL for a long time already and the rest we discussed broadly in this thread
  5. New Xiom Blades Series: Hugo Calderano and Lee Seungsoo (TMX / ALX)

this looks exactly like my blade i have no idea what you are trying to see here… just funny that the prototype had hugos face on the handle like ma longs blade :D
  6. New Xiom Blades Series: Hugo Calderano and Lee Seungsoo (TMX / ALX)

bigger headsize doesn't automatically mean more headheavy and always depends on the woodmaker and the intention. you can have a non-hollowed handle or use a heavier wood to balance out the bigger headsize, so smaller headsize blades can feel head heavy too. then you have the rubbers also to...
  7. Fanzhendong ALC vs VISCARIA

same blade. only difference is the same between two vis
  8. SDC Handmade Blades

    thank you for clarifying!
  9. SDC Handmade Blades

@hipnotic i always thought that black limba is slightly harder than white limba?
  10. FS: Hugo Calderano's Personal Blade - Xiom Hugo HAL

kiri is lighter so you can use denser layers without getting to heavy or too stiff. but ayous is more elastic so gives more extra kick on stronger input. but light or thick ayous core can feel hollow and can vibrate a lot. usually outer carbon blades have kiri core and inner carbon blades have...
  11. FS: Hugo Calderano's Personal Blade - Xiom Hugo HAL

interesting this blade has an ayous core instead of kiri but still the axilium layer in orange. so this is definitly a special edition and will not play like one you could buy! maybe it was a test version between HAL and SAL but still crazy what people pay for a damaged blade…
  12. Experience with some other Loki rubbers - Arthur China, GTX Pro (inc)

did you boosted the rxton 7 compared to the lac? heard a lot of people play lac unboosted so i just wanted to ask
  13. Any blades still in production similar to Xiom Hugo HAL or Butterfly Moonbeam?

HAL is not a modern Moonbeam. HAL is: Koto - ALX - Dark Limba - Kiri Moonbeam is: Limba - AL - Ayous - Ayous so totally different constructions besides beeing an outerfibre blade without carbon (and no one knows about the wave pattern or density of each fibre, so will be totally different...
  14. Any blades still in production similar to Xiom Hugo HAL or Butterfly Moonbeam?

to clarify, moonbeam does not play like hugo hal! moonbeam is way slower (maybe because it is super old and full of sweat) but also has limba as outerply and therefore different playing properties. CNF blades are different too. yes they are soft, elastic and fast but they have sooo much...
  15. Any blades still in production similar to Xiom Hugo HAL or Butterfly Moonbeam?

sorry but this is just BS, there are so many different balls available and if you play competitive then you always need to adapt to stuff like this. same with tables and light, floor and whatsoever. professionals are used to this and if you want to suggest that hugo only won because of that then...
  16. Any blades still in production similar to Xiom Hugo HAL or Butterfly Moonbeam?

timo boll ZLF is pretty similar but with less support beyond the table and a bit different feel. hugo hal feels more complete and supports a more powerful game. zlf will sadly be discontinued too, so same same i liked the new butterfly outerforce ALC because it had similar speed but a lower...
  17. New Xiom Blades Series: Hugo Calderano and Lee Seungsoo (TMX / ALX)

i really hope that it really is just an supply problem and they bring the blade back at one point. but let’s see what happens over the summer
  18. New Xiom Blades Series: Hugo Calderano and Lee Seungsoo (TMX / ALX)

if he actually just played with what we know i definitely see no reason for a change. a lot of control in short game and open up and enough power beyond the table to let every professional choose him as an example for a player with the most power
  19. ITTF Men's and Women's World Cup Macao 2025, 4/14-20

amazing, i still can't believe it! a great day for table tennis and i am so proud for hugo <3 he definitely kept more mentaly stable compared to his games in the olympics. maybe his new coach has something to do? if yes, then a great decision for a change even though it must have been a hard...
  20. New Xiom Blades Series: Hugo Calderano and Lee Seungsoo (TMX / ALX)

the only thing we know for shure is that hugo plays the HAL in a heavy weight around 92g with a picture of him in the down part of the handle instead the xiom logo. everything else is speculation and since nobody has any proof we should stay with what we know
