  1. New Nexy blade

2nd Session with Eiger tonight. Topspin when both at the table and a bit further back is deep and safe. The spin bites nicely Blocking and driving is very solid. Swing a bit harder and have a feeling that it would still land deep with good spin and power. Service has a bit more dwell so really...
  2. New Nexy blade

I'm not in Korea but the UK. PM if you are interested in the blade. First session was solid actually. Crispy feeling, good power and quite a bit of bite. Paired well with the K3 pro hardness. Touch is stable. Handle is comfortable and balance feels nice. Its a good start definitely...
  3. New Nexy blade

I have just received a ST handle Nexy Eiger. Just glued rubbers on... K3 Pro Fit and finish is excellent. Hitting later with it 👍
  4. How should I return short and low no spin serves that come to my backhand other than pushing them long or slowly flicking them being left handed?

It's percentages in a real match. If you are playing a serious match against a player of similar or better standard then percentage rates will fall on certain things. A player will need to go harder or with more degree of risk to put someone under pressure. A blanket flick everything and it...
  5. Stiga 7.6 Replacement?

Thanks! 😊 Will check them out.
  6. Stiga 7.6 Replacement?

I have a friend who has just broken a Stiga 7.6 Master Handle 😭 Doesn't look like these are made anymore unfortunately. Any suggestions for a similar blade with similar characteristics? GZ
  7. UFO shot (ie BH topspin with FH side rubber)

    Little powerhouse isn't he!
  8. UFO shot (ie BH topspin with FH side rubber)

Swiss player Elia Schmidt seems to have another hybrid type Seemiller style grip. Strong player as well. It looks as if he uses inverted both sides possibly?
  9. UFO shot (ie BH topspin with FH side rubber)

I've read about Enoch Green!. Larry Hodges had some very kind words to say about him and those innovations. High praise indeed.
  10. UFO shot (ie BH topspin with FH side rubber)

Definitely innovative all those years ago.... I remember reading something about the modification options over at OOAK 10-12 years probably now. If Sabine can make her "UFO" work long term will be a step forward for the style.
  11. UFO shot (ie BH topspin with FH side rubber)

A type of Seemiller grip springs to mind.
  12. What is everyone's number 1 table tennis goal for 2025?

2-3 times a week is all I can give at the moment. It's a 3-4 hour session each tme with players who are a bit stronger than me and at the same level. Normal topspin v block drills, Topspin opening and countering, Serve and the first 3-4 topsins, recieve and opening. opening and transition to...
  13. What is everyone's number 1 table tennis goal for 2025?

Train hard at least twice a week at a solid level. Work on my fitness and stay injury free. Technical and match play, really push the level so at match time there's a bit more in the tank.
  14. I feel that Dignics 05 is extremely overrated. Is it just me?

Some rubbers work better for certain players and styles... Butterfly series Tenergy and Dignics series are good rubbers overall used by a large number of players. The volume of users speak for itself. Does it work for everyone ... no I don't think so. If it's not for you it's all good. I know...
  15. Training Camp + Vacation

https://pingcenter-gvhtt.com/en/stages This may be an option depending on your level and the level of the players attending. That's always the tricky bit. Otherwise a busman's holiday to various clubs and facilities might work as well as a bit of sightseeing.
  16. Are worn out Long pips better than new long pips?

Reversal changes also depends on what ball your give the pimples/anti really. If you vary the spin a lot on the loops/drives/pushes etc you can really open the game up quite a bit and get chances to put the ball away. If you give the same loop to the pimples/Anti then they groove and that...

  18. Happy New Year TTD!

Happy New Year everyone! 2025 - bigger and better. Stay well all.
  19. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Backhand safety stroke and slower rubber makes sense. An " on the table backhand" is better to set up the forehand. Doesn't need to be pretty but function. If you can "link" up even a little slower spin ball it's a jackpot to get that big smash setup option :) If you get chance to watch a few...
  20. Daily Table Tennis Chit Chat

Some good and some not so good to be honest. When the ball is in the hitting zone you make some nice smash strokes on your FH. When the ball isn't in that sweet zone area there quite a bit of almost falling sideways and backwards a bit. This makes it pretty hard for you deply those real power...
