    Any blade with a softish top layer (limba, koto, hinoki or spruce) with a thickness just shy of 6mm. A 5 ply is generally slower and lighter and more bendy and cheaper, thus better than a 7 ply for this purpose. Cheers L-zr

    Small air bubbles are alright, I see them when my tacky rubber gets less tacky. Press them outwards using Your fingers. If they seem particularly cumbersome, open the protector sheet and close again, tighter. Cheers L-zr

    I think sticky protection sheets are useless, they attract sooo much dust. I always use non sticky ones even on non sticky rubbers.... If they are thin enough there is an under pressure that will hold them. It works worse with thicker and stiffer ones. Cheers L-zr
