  1. Need recomendation forehand rubber

Have you tried boosting it? If you don't want to boost, check out Loki Arthur China.
  2. SANWEI paramid

I tried this blade that a club member brought and I quite like it. It's fast even when using unboosted DHS Skyline TG3 and it has good control and spin. Throw was a little low but it might have been the rubber. It has that woody, slightly vibration feel that some may like. If I was forced to use...
  3. XIOM C55 Impressions and Comparison with H3N

Had a session with C55 vs LAC yesterday. The LAC I have now seems to be less lively and crispy than the one I've used before so there seems to be variance in LACs but the C55 is definitely faster than the LAC I have right now. At warm up pace the LAC is linear and controlled while the C55 seemed...
  4. XIOM C55 Impressions and Comparison with H3N

Very quick impression was C55 is a hair bit faster than LAC but needs more testing.
  5. XIOM C55 Impressions and Comparison with H3N

I've had one quick session with C55 and it feels like a good alternative to Loki Arthur China, albeit one at over twice the price but better quality with less probability for bubbling. More testing to follow.
  6. Sardius, Primorac carbon or Viscaria?

The Sanwei T1S is Sardius like with a more spin capability and control if you want to try something very inexpensive. Unfortunately it's sold out where I got mine.
  7. What drills to do to reach solid 1500 USATT?

At 60 years old, Falkenberg might simply do him in. Time to put on those Sith robes.
  8. Big Dipper, Loki Arthur China experience.

It's the 40.5 version. Maybe I'll try the 39 degree version next time but it's a trade off between having to boost the rubber 2-3 layer to make it usable for me vs just slapping on the LAC and go. Let me know if you're at the club again I'll let you try it and anything else I have(which is way...
  9. Big Dipper, Loki Arthur China experience.

Unboosted, at the low end and mid range if you are not going all out, the LAC simply flies compared to the Rxton 9. Rxton 9 boosted it is much closer and perhaps it is better on the high end but I will need to test it on the my newly acquired spare blade to be sure when I get a chance..
  10. Changing rubbers to change technique.

You've obviously never tried switching to pips on the backhand. Instant 200 point upgrade in my case until I figured out my natural tendencies is to attack and pips takes more energy to continuously be on the offensive and if I improved my backhands service receive, inverted would be better for me.
  11. Big Dipper, Loki Arthur China experience.

I tried the Rxton 9. It 's basically like H3 which is pretty unfriendly to play with unless it is boosted or well broken in. Boosted it is good but I was using a blade that was too stiff for me so did not get the best of it. LAC still has much more accessible power and does not require boosting...
  12. Inner Fiber Dilemma.

The old version of Long 5 had this kind of non linear behaviour but it is less pronounced/non-existent in the newer versions. You can try out other inner carbon blades to see if this is still an issue. The Sanwei Hynover did not have this kind of gear change feeling to me. If you don't have...
  13. XIOM C55 Impressions and Comparison with H3N

That sounds really promising. Well I got my red sheet of C55 coming from tt11. We'll see if it can be a better alternative to the Loki Arthur China.
  14. XIOM C55 Impressions and Comparison with H3N

Great job guys, out of stock for black on TT11.
  15. Best Cheap non DHS blade

My Stuor Long 5 clone is in a large ballpark of my Long 5 but does not play the same. It is a bit stiffer and harder and has less of that deep hold. It's probably closer to the Fang Bo blade from what I've read of the FB blade. If you have smaller hands, an inexpensive blade you should check...
  16. Diluting Glue with water

Why would you want to dilute the glue? Is it too hard to spread? Do you suspect that the glue is old and has dried out in it's container? Diluting with distilled water will probably work but you will also have to add ammonia to keep the solution stable. Once diluted the solution will have less...
  17. Sealing and gluing problems, please help

Yes, you do have to be careful and do only one thin layer. It also is more economical probably as you need much less glue than what you are used to and it is quite thin in consistency.
  18. SANWEI NOVA Carbon is coming!

Here my quick review. It almost like a inner carbon blade due to how thick the outer Hinoki ply is. It is pretty stiff but not that fast. It feels a bit like a stiff wood blade and does not have the top end speed I need for my game. Spin is decent and counters can be deadly but it requires the...
  19. Sealing and gluing problems, please help

I believe the Rev3 sealer and Rev3 glue that is weird. I've never heard of glue curling up rubbers unless it had something else in it besides the regular latex, water and ammonia. If you use the right type of sealer and glue there should not be any problems like your experience with Free Chack...
  20. Glumped glue on rubber

What do you mean by glumped? Is this during gluing? Do you know the standard way of gluing table tennis rubbers to the blade? There is not enough information to go on.
